Do you think the current way of handling it is wrong? I mean the RTS field wasn't read or used anyways.bgbirdsey wrote:You should add an expansion to the menu.txt, maybe? Something like [TYPE] or something with a text field:Code: Select all

Well, we might want to reinstate some kind of RTS at some time (if just to "completely prefect" the Egoboo that Aaron was shooting for), though I think the genre kinda died out...
In general, I would favor expanding changing the config files using an extensible method, rather than re-purposing obsolete features. If we commit to adding expansions, then we are only limited by our ability to come up with 4 letter codes!!!

Ok. I just updated the SVN:
- Module type is now read in menu.txt as an expansion.
- Fixed bug where starting equipment could be kursed.
- Adjusted so that items dropped work like before and not drop everything in 1 place inside the character.
- Fixed potentional module selection bug when less than 3 available modules were present.
- Some GOR updates.
- Added my incomplete Centaur character.
- New item: Dungeon Map. Like those maps you find in chests, just more portable.

Nice colouring job, Birdsey! Although you mistook his shoulderpad for empty space and now his shoulder looks deranged.

With the scroll it doesn't work.
A week ago, I played Adventurer Starter mostly for the nostalgic feeling, and I tried to use the scroll (from the Trog chest) on the Plunger (from the Trog chest, too), and nothing happened. The plunger was still a wimpy weapon.
What are shovels for, BTW? Are they just really weak weapons and nothing else?
They are like maces, except maces don't suck.

Wait, the plunger's in the advent starter? I liked it better when you only got it from the Bishopia restroom. >_>
