Lord of Dragonss Back! (With question)

Post by Lordofdragonss »

I finnaly get a bbeter computer, so quick as possible, I downloaded 2.7.4.

my Reaction: OH MY GOD HOTSEAT! I Called to all my friends! Seriously! xD We so wait for hotseat in new version!

But One thing.. I always use Keyboard to walk, shift items, and mouse just for attack (Laser mouse is sooo bad for walking) but now... There is no option to use Keyboard + Mouse and I cant play because I barrely can move with my character....

Or maybe it is? Anyone help me?

Welcome back. :D
Do you have any joysticks or game pads? You could use those.
Also, have a :cookie:.

Egoboo 2.8.0 (the SVN) has somewhat better mouse control than before. Also there are a lot of changes and improvements since 2.7.4 in there as well :P

You can get developer updates instead of waiting for releases. It takes a bit of tinkering, but you can hook up a downloader so it gets the latest Egoboo as it's updated.

You just use that downloader each time you want to update it.

And remember about downloading newest binaries, I always forget that myself(they don't update with SVN repository).

Yes but it has become an incredible hassle to get all the correct libraries from different sources (SDL, SDL_mixer, SDL_image, SDL_ttf, truetype, LUA, SWIG, PhysFS) and you need to download and know how to work a compiler. Visual Studio is incredible big and overkill to download only to compile one binary. Not to mention it will probably require hours of work for a first timer to set up :P

Well, there's a topic in Development where you can find the binaries, and in the tutorials section there is a tut to help get your actual SVN started up. It's tricky at first, but then it's a breeze. :)
