New binary for SVN users (#45)

The development of the game itself or new resources for it. Any new stuff you're working on would go here, as well as the discussion of in-development stuff.

I just updated the svn so that the folders are created. it is not completely debugged yet, so it is possible that some files will be stuck in the wrong directories. That will have to be debugged, so keep your eyes open when the change hits the binary.

No difference.
No logs or temp folders either. I tried looking in the directory you said (admin application data), as well as those of the "All users", and in my documents, but to no avail.

"C:\Documents and Settings\BLAH\Application Data\egoboo"

BLAH = your user profile name.

"C:\Documents and Settings\BLAH\Application Data" is a hidden folder on windows so you will have to activate "Tools->Folder Options->Hiden Files and Filders->Show Hidden Files and Folders" in the explorer menu if you want to be able to see it.

The directory will eventually have a link that is installed in egoboo's stsrt menu entry to make for easy access.

If the folder does not exist and you are having problems, try to create it manually and see what happens.

You are underestimating my computer literacy. :P
I'll make the folder myself and see what happens.

Edit: Yup, that fixed it, the game runs now. :D
I'll try playing around a little and see if there are any other issues.

hmmmm.... I'll have to try deleting that folder on my local system to see what needs to be done to fix this.

Did it create something in the wrong place, like in the "C:\Documents and Settings\BLAH\Application Data" or "C:\Documents and Settings\BLAH" folder?
