New binary for SVN users (#45)

The development of the game itself or new resources for it. Any new stuff you're working on would go here, as well as the discussion of in-development stuff.

In Nethack, there is a significant sub-game dealing with identifying unknown objects in shops. Items in shops can be cursed, and things like unknown gems have 3 kinds per color (white could be glass, diamond, or dilithium) with one being worthless.

Having kursed objects in a shop is not good, because you couldn't drop the thing if you picked it up... But in nethack, you can just ask the price of the item without picking it up.

Here is the latest binary for Egoboo 2.7.x, check it out AoD to see if it works for you. Others who use the SVN and don't compile windows binaries themselves should download this too, it contains some crash fixes and some optimizations.

Binary #29 has fixed that irritating mesh texture bug and has some other extras to enjoy.

I am in the middle of adding a stats function on the player choice menu.

The first step is to create some kind of "virtual window" that behaves like a zoomed in version of, say, a 640x480 window.

That way we can define all of our formatting relative to that size screen and it will always scale to fit on any shape monitor.

Something similar could make the in-game gui look similar no matter what resolution.

Ah, i can't unzip the newest binary files. Would anyone be so kind as to get the binary zipped with a more primitive zip program? (Easyzip would be a good example)

I would if I could download that without my family noticing and complaining for hours. It's not like I have my own separate computer, or something.

7zip is a perfect replacement for any other archive mananger. It is free, small and fast. It's just a few mb's I think.

Why would they complain about it?

Some people aren't allowed to download anything. For example, my father doesn't allow me to download anything except music without complaining. My mother understands better and doesn't complain, though.

Then don't install 7zip. download it, use it to unzip whatever you want and then delete it. Download the exportable version instead of the installer.
