Whoa, I never knew how much Disenchant owns. I insta-killed all the zombies in the first boss room with a disenchant-Mystic... ...and without even using up mana, lolz. No loot for me, but heck, not having to actually fight against one of the most annoying early bosses is awesome.

Disenchant is supposed to have a equal amount of power in Egoboo as well. You should be able to disenchant most undead and many magical creatures. There is even a boss that can be disenchanted.

Yes, I used to like disenchantment in Egoboo; it was pretty useful.
I haven't used any Arcane magic classes in a while though.

Colnkinator, if you're playing a Mystic, it's much more satisfying to turn them (with prayer). Less effective, sure, but more satisfying. :D
Oh, and plus you actually get stuff from their bodies that way.

Yeah, I found that out right the next time I played. The turning ability actually is insanely useful if you happen to start out with something like knock instead of disenchant. (Knock is really useful as well, btw. Screw keys, I have mana potions!)

@Purple: Colnkinator? :P

@Clonk: If you get the optimum stats (in the long run, of course,) you'll never start out with knock as a Mystic, and when playing Wizard will get poison cloud, missile and teleport.
The best way to find these stats is:
Go to Soldier. Scroll through until you find this combination:
Hits- 13
Str- 13
Dex- 13
Int- 9

Change to the class you want and there. Make sure to lock in the selection so that you can come back to them later.

@AoD: The starting set of stats also affects which spells I start with? Huh, I never noticed that; I thought it was random. Thanks for the info anyway. :)
However, I actually like Knock as a starting spell. It's really useful, especially if you happen to run out of keys and don't want to ruin your dilligence score.
And I actually think my Mystic's starting stats were pretty decent; if I recall correctly (being the idiot I am, I forgot to lock them, so I can't check):
Hits: 8
Mana: 4
STR: 9
Dex: 13
Int: 13

Holy crap, I just had a total blast when playing with an elf. :)

Image
I encountered the blue and the black dragon on my way, but I simply grabbed the treasure and left the room again without fighting them. Noggindorf, on the other hand, got owned so badly by my blade, it isn't even funny. =D
I actually even reached Lv8 later; I died in DLvl 6 after wasting a total of eight wunnup's cups. I lost one because seven crates blew poison gas into my face in a row and I didn't have a life potion (lol), and the other seven because of that friggin' Dark Champion that appears when you're about to enter DLvl 6. That thunder blade of his is hella overpowered, doing roughly 12 damage in one hit, especially if you're already downed because those other dark dudes all gang up on you.
Then, with no wunnup's cups left, I stumbled into that weird lava-infested place and got my whole inventory disenchanted in like a second by some green bird idiots and got owned by their iceball-spam. Yayz.

Got a total score of 8406, and all badges except for the courage one. Can anyone beat that? :P

Lol @ white text.
Anyhow, no that is a fantastic game. I don't think I've ever gotten that high except for one game on a file which is now deleted (it got badly modded which took away from the fun...), which might have been around 8000.
And nice job with the badges, that's the most I'll ever get at any one time. Courage is too much to face up to with drawbacks.

I've been dying to play SoulFu lately, but it lags so bad I can't even play. I don't even know why. :(

Try playing in window mode. That's how I fixed my problem which was the same.

I've been playing this a bit with my family recently. Once, we tried playing with my dad as a dwarf, me as a hubbin, and my sister as a g'nome. It actually worked pretty well, suprisingly.
Playing brawl. Not too well, unforunately.
