If you ever return to his shop, he zaps you until you die.

Yeah... Kind of unfair that you can't survive the attack at all, even with all 14 hearts. And even the potion won't return you to life after that.Ben Urban wrote:If you ever return to his shop, he zaps you until you die.
(But getting 980 rupees for the bow even though there are only green rupees collectable is sooo tedious... )

It's not that hard to collect 980 rupees for the bow. Rupees are plentiful in chests. In fact, I think I've stolen from his shop only once, just to see what would happen. And I've beaten that game at least 20 times.

Yeah, it's not hard, but it's boring and takes a ton of time, especially if you've already opened all the chests. It's not like I was stealing from his shop regularly, as it pisses me off to be called "THIEF" by everyone.Ben Urban wrote:It's not that hard to collect 980 rupees for the bow. Yeah, I've beaten it plenty of times too, even though the last piece of heart took me ages to find. ...I wish some of the later Zeldas released had been even only half as challenging as this one, though. u_u

I consider Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages to be one game.
Combined, they are indeed much more challenging than Link's Awakening.

I don't. They're both full-length adventures with unique dungeons and tools.Ben Urban wrote:I consider Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages to be one game.

I kind of tend to clump them together when talking about them ("The Oracle games", "OoS/OoA"), though....
Continuing to be way off topic, my favorite ever is A Link to the Past. That one's pretty difficult and has a TON of cool secret stuff.
After that, Ocarina of Time (I still haven't beaten it ), probably.
Then Phantom Hourglass. It's awesome.

Oh yeah, the spider... I guess seeing that nasty thing fall from the ceiling can be pretty frightening.
