I am getting the four back molars that exist in my mouth pulled out today, and I believe I'm getting braces shortly afterwards.
These are Dark Days indeed...

For how long?
And yes, you haven't the foggiest clue how terrible it is. But worth it, oddly enough.

A year is tolerable. I had braces for a year myself.

Of course they're not bad. People with truly bad teeth could end up wearing braces for six years.
I was lucky that my entire lower set was pretty good, and I only had a problematic area around one of the canines on my upper jaw, so not only did I only wear mine for just over a year, I only wore a brace on my upper jaw. It still looked ridiculous, but I retained more or less normal speech.

My braces will possibly be removed tomorrow.

Teeth brace things? I had different ones for like centuries, all the way from kindergarten place to the last year of school, so at least 8 years. It was horrifying.

...and they didn't help anything, my teeth are still jumbled and creepy as duck-tomatoes.

Also I love how my spellcheck acknowledges the existence of batman, but not of spiderman.
