Second one, no doubt. It always needed more range.

New scimitar is cool. Maybe we could use both in different places?
For example, the old one could be like sandweg issue. The new one looks like a falchion a little more.

Humm.. The right one has lost a lot of it's curve which distinguishes the scimitar from other swords. That new one might look more like a Wakishasi maybe?

I made it because I think the curve in the old one was exessive. (None of the other weapons are even remotely as curved)
And also to make it look like the old ghost scimitar.

And Zefz, we really don't need more kinds of swords...

What about a Zanbato? OR A TONFA!
I am Japan. not really.

If not use it for a new weapon type, we could still use it for a magical weapon (like an artifact) to make it look more unique from other weapons.

But I just thought of the Wakishasi because of the Samurai class in the SVN. We already have a katana...

You are completely missing the point. The evil curve must be eradicated.

A Longmitar? Like a longsword, but a long scimitar.
Edit: Aaah Cime posted!
But aren't they supposed to be curved? I mean, I looked it up on wikipedia and wikitionary and stuff to try to find a picture, and it said that scimitars are a kind of curved sword or something like that.

There are different kinds of scimitars.
Here's one that looks like the one we currently have, it's more Arabic looking: http://www.by-the-sword.com/acatalog/im ... d-2006.jpg
And here's one that looks Gaelic and resembles mine: http://www.armart.antiquanova.com/image ... mitar1.jpg

I myself prefer the arabic one. First of all it makes it different from other swords. If it loses it's curve it kinda becomes a short sword. Secondly the exaggerated model is kinda typical for Egoboo weapons. The normal sword for example is bigger than the person holding it :P Next up I was wondering why you wanted to remove the arabic theme on the blade? I always liked it had a Arabic weapon which is why it fits so well in Sandweg for example.

Can we do something in the middle then? The current one is just too curved and generally deviates too much from the style of the other weapons IMHO.

While I like both of these swords, I think weapons in Egoboo are more symbolic and ridiculus then realistic, like Zefz said normal sword is bigger then chars holding it also cinquedas are much wider then real designs. We could use random model for scimitar also. In my unfinished module(i wonder if I will ever finish it, sigh) I have a weapon that transforms on spawn into one of weapons i selected earlier at random (it's separate weapon with ChangeTargetClass on IfSpawned). Although, having 2 scimitars that come from diffrent reigns isn't bad idea as well.

Btw... Zanbato is just broadsword with size 2.0 xD ....Oh wait. What I pictured as Zanbato was Sanosuke's sword(guy from Kenshin manga). From what I've checked just now it's just a long sword that probably didn't exist :P

Why don't we make a Celtic swords, those are fun.
There's a little man on the bottom of them.
Guess which part the blade is.
Go on, guess.

Also the Zanbato is just like an Odashi, but with a large handle so you could use it as a polearm or a sword, and yes, probably did not exist, seeing as how a Naginata would do a much better job.

Japanese weaponry is going to be a big part of a project of mine.
