Looks certainly heroic. Could be some sort of "magic knight" class - maybe an elf hero class with elementally impregnated mythril armour and saucesome magical powers and enhanced melee, but incapable of wielding bows?

The second one has a bit more energy flowing around the Elf...both are pretty cool though.

I think you have captured the spirit of Egoboo's cuteness there. Would you be interested in doing some artwork to replace the main-menu background art? I think this would fit nicely with the new updates/release that is incoming.

This really captures the spirit of Egoboo for me; (I will of course consult the other developers but) I do think this should be the defining ink style for Egoboo. PM is coming soon. In the meantime: We can provide a dedicated asset repository for artists; I don't think GitHub is an optimal solution for artists (but certainly not the worst) but I am not aware of a stable and public "collaboration"/"asset management" platform? I am open to suggestions here.
P.S.: I created a egoboo-assets repo https://github.com/egoboo/egoboo-assets. Feel free to fork, put stuff in and pull-request (just to get things started).
P.P.S.: GitHub added an image view mode - seems like things are moving forward in the digital asset department:
