Found Minetown (by stepping on a level'port trap) and met Izchak the first time.

I have a general store 3 levels above, so I don't need one.
Minetown is nice because of the stupid gnome hordes that dwell there AND the shops. You can directly sell the loot you got...
And is it normal that manes' appear in the Mines?

Minetown FTW.
And yeah, it's normal for manes to appear there. I've had a couple chickatrices in Minetown, and not as hallucinations XD

Sounds like a quick death. When you find Minetown, you are probably about Lvl 7 or so... and I haven't ever fought a chickatrice, but I guess that battling them is hard to survive if you have no attack to OHKO them.penguinflyer2222 wrote:I've had a couple chickatrices in Minetown, and not as hallucinations XD
The Samurai I'm currently playing has found a blindfold in a shop, and so he hasn a bit less to worry about them.

I regularly visit Minetown at about Lv3 or Lv4, sometimes even Lv5, but hardly ever higher than that.

Carrying a pile of darts or rocks around always comes in handy in situations like these. Or, even better, an actual bow with arrows, of course.

Cock/Chickatrices are no problem anywhere if your outer garment has MC3. Cloak of MR, DSM, etc...

Anyhow, I doubt AoD had time to take out the digging implements out in the middle of combat, in which I assume he was.
