Alright let's try again shall we? This package has almost identical libraries and settings compared to the last working binary #19. Delete all existing .dll files before copying this into your Egoboo folder.

Differences from last working binary:
- The new console code changes birdsey made
- Compiled as C code (previously C++)
- New additional LUA library
- Compiled on my new pc

But really. I don't know what to do next right now. The binary seems to work on both my pc's (new and old) which both have Visual Studio 2008 installed. Very strange.

My best guess is that you did something on your old PC that you haven't done on your new PC. For instance, this same problem happened a year or 2 ago (AFAIR). Did you install some special patch or SxS configuration or SDK or change some setting in your IDE that is not exported in the .sln or .vcproj file?

For instance, I had a problem getting DX programs to compile because the include and lib search paths for the Platform SDK and the DirectX 9.0 were listed in the wrong order in the IDE settings.

I believe that that particular error usually means that there is a missing "system" .dll. Maybe you should use a registry cleaner to get rid of references to registered .dlls that no longer exist on your computer?

I already ran a registry cleaner.

AFAIK I did not have any other patches or modifications to my libraries. But I remember I did install some sort of SDK package for some reason to get something to work (can't remember what).

I have built all the .dll files natively on my pc from the latest SVN revisions, I'll include those as well (including the fix to SDL_mixer you mentioned).

I meant that chansaw should run the registry cleaner, since the configuration problem is likely on his pc and not yours

Then I highly recommend CCleaner which cleans both a lot of junkfiles and the registry.

Remember that both cleanups need to be run separately (registry clean after the normal cleanup).

8D @ Zefz's picture.

I use CCleaner; it's nice. :)
I don't know if things are working for me or not because I can't get the binary unless someone sends it to me another way...
