It might be that one guy who was in the old forums (or here, in 2008 or early 2009 or something)? There was some German person who complained about how unpopular Egoboo is, right? Or am I just remembering wrong...?

...a rant is coming, lol.

Why do so many people think hatred is necessary, that loving is a sexual function and other things like that? If it was, like, 13-year-olds saying that, I'd kinda understand it, since they probably don't understand the difference between love and sexual arousal and think of it only as that tingly feeling, which is because of the hormones at puberty playing tricks on their mind, and are in the age when all their friends and the "cool kids" beat the crap out of old ladies and steal their purses, worship Satan as a rebellious thing, start smoking and drinking, etc. but if they're 20-30... it's just depressing. Like, don't most people understand love as a non-sexual thing when they're like 10 or something if not before (the point is, before discovering sexuality or any kind of association between love and sexuality)? I mean, it's kinda creepy how there are all those people saying that love is always sexual... don't they know that their parents and siblings, friends and other relatives love them, etc.? Don't they love their family and stuff? Or if they do, is that also sexual love? Because that's just messed up if it is*. :ack:

Although it does make sense, since they always obsess over each other's siblings and cousins and all that. But like, that's understandable because of the hormones and social pressures, making it easier to say "I'm into your sister" than "I'm into [insert the name of the most popular girl in the school]", and if the other kid agrees, then they will indirectly discuss their attraction to their own sisters or brothers and all that, but it's one of those things that is ok in the moment, just saying "yeah" to somewhat sexual tag questions about one's own siblings, cousins, etc. without really even listening because it's creepy. But still, that doesn't explain why they'd be incapable of loving said siblings. Of course, it might be uncomfortable to actually say it... and like, I would never say the words "I love you" to anyone other than someone I'd love sexually, too, in person (please remember that I'm Finnish and we are incapable of expressing positive emotions** when in the immediate presence of another Finnish person, especially not to said person; we have telepathy for that  ), and I'm pretty sure the same applies to a lot of people.

Also, hate is something a lot of people seem to associate with either A) violence or B) generally not liking something... like, I'm not familiar with what the actual proper definition is, but how I view it is like this: if you hate something, you want nothing to do with it. If you hate Justin Bieber, you don't go watch his music videos on Youtube and spam in the comments about how you want to tear his heart out and eat it in front of his fans. Instead, you just stay as far away from him as you can. I mean, unless you're a masochist. Then you'd do that, but you wouldn't go with that heart-eating thing if you met him (unlike the "hater"), since it'd remove your biggest fantasy from the world. But like, if you do that heart-spam-comment, I don't think you hate Justin Bieber (or whatever it would be), you're just a sociopathic hipster who's against freedom of speech and expression or something***.

*No offence towards inbred people intended, since it's not their fault.
**Without them being seen as something extremely exaggerated and negative (somewhat connected to sarcasm), like, "I love you" as "I want to grab your face and slam it against a windshield and then forcefully f**k you in the a*s until there's blood and s**t everywhere, yell "DON'T F**K WITH SATAN" before proceeding to go to a random school, kill everyone and then jump in front of a train, all while holding your decapitated head". Yes, that's actually how a lot of Finnish people would interpret those words.
***Since the usual argument seems to be that they're allowed to threaten celebrities, spew their insults at the fans and whatnot under freedom of speech and expression, etc... well, it's not; if you're so obsessive over freedom of speech and expression, you'd understand that they have that same freedom to do whatever it is they do. So, obviously, you're against freedom of speech and expression.

HOLY MATBUCKING PORTABLE CHAIR

I just learned that "inappropiate" is really "inappropriate". What. That just... that... all my life, I've read and written it as "inappropiate".

In other news, my external hard drive broke, so I lost everything. My mum immediately bought a new one, and I was like "WHAAAT WOAH" and well, now I'm mostly feeling sad about losing all the hundreds of unfinished songs and all the things I've ever written. Apart from those, it doesn't really matter all that much.

Next time, get something to check the condition of your hard drives (for example, if you examine your hardware under Ubuntu, it'll allow you to do a few checks on your hard drives, stuff like bad sectors, S.M.A.R.T. condition, and general statistics, as well as a worded-for-non-developers phrase that tells you what condition the hard drive's in.
