Yay you almost gave her the Hinaface
Re: Touhou
Dunno about the hands, but pretty good otherwise.

Re: Touhou
I guess. But, you know, that's what you might wanna look at for future improvement.

Re: Touhou
Aw, man! I died as Marisa/Alice during Kaguya's second spellcard, no continues previously. And I almost caught the blasted thing too... then again, with ~3+ bars to go and no extends or bombs... yeah, I wouldn't have made it anyway. (Especially since it was my first time against Kaguya too. )
Having to actually get between -80% and 80% without using bombs/last spells must be the most troublesome part of playing a pair...

Re: Touhou
It is, especially since accidently using a Last Spell instead of a deathbomb (very easy to do in this game, as you get a measly... I believe 3 frames for deathbombing and the rest is all for last spells) sends you all the way to the wrong side of the gauge.Agent of Dread wrote:Having to actually get between -80% and 80% without using bombs/last spells must be the most troublesome part of playing a pair...
Although if you know the trick, switching between human and phantom on the gauge is quick at least after beating a boss's spellcard or a fairy with a lot of slaves.

Re: Touhou
I think I keep accidentally using the switch trick when I really don't want to be. After spellcards at least.
Does hitting MAX Power also boost you to -100/100?

When all the time points are drawn towards your character, take care to be in the mode you want to be following that. Collecting time orbs boosts your gauge towards whatever mode you currently are in.Agent of Dread wrote:I think I keep accidentally using the switch trick when I really don't want to be. If there are a lot of bullets on-screen to be converted to time points (which boost your gauge), yes. The mere act of reaching MAX Power itself, however, does not.Agent of Dread wrote:Does hitting MAX Power also boost you to -100/100?

Re: Touhou
Hm. That tip will be very useful.
I can really understand why you don't favour IN as well; it really has excessive depth. At the core of it, though, the baddie-blasting is fun as ever and the going is not overly frustrating, so I like it as much as the others.
I haven't touched MoF much more yet either. Keep flying into things. >_<

You just have to go all "Bombs, you want it? It's yours, my friend!" in this game. Aside from Ten Desires, Mountain of Faith is the only game I've 1cc'd on Hard so far.Agent of Dread wrote:I haven't touched MoF much more yet either. Keep flying into things. >_<

Re: Touhou
That feel when you lose your last life to Remilia because one of the dots that appear after the knives in Curse of Vlad appears on you.
Also frustrating to lose a life during Patchy's death, during the incursion of Eternal Meek and during Eternal Meek itself. Why always when I'm actually going well?
Well, on the bright side, I didn't bomb during either of the sets of bullet-ring spurters before endboss!Sakuya. (Having no bombs does great things to you. )

The dots actually always appear on the paths the daggers took. Don't move where the daggers were and you're relatively safe.Agent of Dread wrote:That feel when you lose your last life to Remilia because one of the dots that appear after the knives in Curse of Vlad appears on you.
Although it is one of Remilia's hardest cards. I usually bomb this one.
Indeed. In one of my better runs, I literally roflstomped all of Stage 4 (including Patchouli) without losing a life or using a bomb because I didn't have any bombs. xDAgent of Dread wrote:(Having no bombs does great things to you. )

Re: Touhou
Yeah, I know that. I just didn't realise I'd moved into its path. :I
And I would disagree, I find Vlad pretty easy compared to Scarlet Netherworld. (Or MISDIRECTION! Even though I know the trick to it I still die every time!)
I never bomb during stage 4 anyway. It's just troublesome mishaps that get me killed every so often, and possibly also Sylphae Horn or Agni Shine (I'm getting better at that one, though).

And that's exactly the problem with this card. It's very easy to move into the daggers' path by accident.Agent of Dread wrote:Yeah, I know that. I just didn't realise I'd moved into its path. :I
Some of Patchy's spells are really troublesome, I usually just can't get by them without bombing... At least not reliably, safely.Agent of Dread wrote:I never bomb during stage 4 anyway.
