I tried to download latest stable release but I can't extract the package. It's corrupted (CRC error while extracting). Known Ubuntu bug in gzip, not our problem. Help running the game-Ubuntu 10.04, from 2.8 source (latest)
I untared the source and did make all PREFIX=$HOME/.local make install PREFIX=$HOME/.local (This time around) I didn't get any error messages after typing that(I think so, at least), but now I can't figure out how to run the game.
