The nightly build contain the most recent changes and fixes that the developers are working on. This version is not guaranteed to work properly, but it will contain many more bugfixes and new features that have not been released yet. You also need the latest data files in addition to the nightly binary (link below).

REQUIREMENTS
Windows users only need to follow the install instructions and the
installer will install every required component for you.
Instructions for making the game run under Linux and Macintosh can be
found in the game folder and are named README.Linux and README.Mac

People are friendly there and will try to help you with your problem,
don't be afraid to join! Joining the community to post stuff requires a
