Okay then. I would not mind doing that place over though, even with that bug. It was a massacre feast.

edit: Even though it's easy to give up on the clunky platforming... levitation ftw.

Gah. You sure have mastered teleporting.

Anyway, I must get playing and actually try this level. xP

Well the platform thingy is much easier now you don't die when you fall down :P (instead you are transported back to the beginning of the platform room).

Yeah, I could imagine if it was instant death, and you loose all your crowns. It's still a bit frustrating though... The platforms have thiese odd behaviors.....

Yeah, the platforming stuff is too tricky; I always bypass it.
It might be worth trying to make it easier for those who actually try to do it "properly" though.

(Also hi! )

(Hi again)

I was looking around the forums to find out what an SVN was(saw a topic in the Dev forum). What is it? A patch of some sort? If so where. I kinda wanted to keep some of the loot after 6 runs XD It's such an epic dungeon. If I had the motivation to attempt tilesets again, I would probably make a new set for it.

Also, after I learn some more Photoshop and Painter, I'll probably make go back to making colored illustrations for the game. The enemy set in Abyss2 is just cool together.

SVN is like a repository.
When you connect to it you can load Egoboo's folder and you can update it from the latest changes comitted to the SVN release by Zefz, Birdsey and anyone else, and you can also commit your own changes, such as tilesets (in your case ;))

No, you need the latest SVN revision along with the latest binary. You need to use TortoiseSVN to get access to the SVN (which will keep your Egoboo up to date on the cutting edge :))

I'm not really sure how to use it. Do I use the URL for latest binary? Feels like I'm doing something I should not be doing, as I'm behind on the stuff used these days.

Make a new folder for your Egoboo 2.7.x and use TortoiseSVN to checkout the following link: https://egoboo.svn.sourceforge.net/svnr ... ches/2.6.x

(yeah it says 2.6.x in the link, but the name is just a bit outdated)

Okay, I have checked out the SVN, and have the 2.7x folder and binary #23 separately in a folder. How do I start the game with the updates now?

Put the binary and the DLLs in the main Egoboo folder and run Egoboo#23.exe.

Monsters are cool (I like cobols, lumpkins, trogs and all those critters), but mimics are also really fun and insects are an entertaining enemy... grub bugs are yummy, crabs are cute and tranches can really boost your adrenaline. :o

Oh, and slaying mephits is also a nice occupation. :D
