Story:
A former practitioner of dark magic, Arianna once held great power. She was feared by many, who knew her for her ruthless pursuit of more and more power to have all for herself.

But one day, Arianna came across an abandoned ruin on her travels. Entering out of curiosity as to what lay inside, she quickly ran inside, soon coming across a mostly empty room. Besides the light spirit inside.

The light spirit could have killed Arianna, and made her pay for her dark mistakes. But instead, he showed her visions of the future that lay ahead if she continued to pursue the dark power- thousands of innocent people dead, and her own soul consumed by the dark arts, her body used to wreak havoc upon the world.

Arianna finally realized her mistakes. Frightened by the dark future that awaited herself and the world, Arianna thanked the spirit for the vision, and made a pact that if she ever again uttered a word of dark magic to hurt an innocent, she would be killed. Arianna burned the ancient tomes of magic that gave her her power that night, and pledged to study the healing arts to seek forgiveness for her mistakes.

A year has passed since...
Arianna jabs her staff at Boartz's eye in an attempt to harm his vision.

Zalant steps forward and takes a black book with suspicious red signs on it out of his pockets. His expression is stern.
"Please escape this place now. I will use the only spell that I know is powerful enough to... ...seal off an entire city. You should make sure that you're far enough away when I'm done casting the spell, or else you might end up being caught in here as well. ...this is how I shall do penance."

Story:
Alyss absolutely cherished her peaceful life as an Elf, but when Orcs demolished her home forest, she was forced to leave, completely helpless, and became an outcast among human society. After a long time of travelling, she managed to find her way to Rubin, where she was taken in with open arms due to her penchant for the magic arts. Since then she has honed her skills and grown her strength, standing as quite an optomistic, yet controlled (at most times) young adult. She enjoys leaving the city to study the land, occasionally going with other spellcasters, but usually alone.
She wears a thick fur cuirass with cowhide interior, draped over her light figure, with a tassel dangling from her waist loosely supporting a dangling skirt and long leather boots.

Script:
If HP is below half, use Warmth Aura as minor action, if it has enough uses. If only one use, use as major action.
If Warmth Aura has no uses, take Medicine.
If no medicine, no minor action.

A small ball of energy is launched from in front of the caster's face and floats quickly into one direction until the caster activates it with a mental signal. The energy ball can pass through enemies and non-magical barriers.

A discharge of energy is created directly at the place of the target. Deals 5 inevitable points of damage to a single target and ignores resistance.

Due to his special telepathic abilities and his tragic past, Aranym is a very empathic person. Therefore, the accuracy of any fatal blows he tries to deliver is halved (besides from kills causing him severe qualms).
Retribution [105 AP]
For every 10 points of damage dealt to him during the current battle, the damage dealt by all of his attack spells is increased by 1. This only applies if Aranym considers the increased damage just and necessary.

[spoiler="Story"]Aranym is a person of free mind and very familiar with the power of elements. He grew up in the region of Camadyl, that was untouched by most detrimental influences for a long time. Both he and his brother Lendyr were fascinated by the mysterious power called "magic" very much. But unlike Lendyr, Aranym saw his as his duty to become a mage, while the brother preferred to go in search for ancient secrets as an adventurer.
When Lendyr was killed by a random drunken soldier with a crossbow in an attempt to protect the treasury of some ancient Elven tomb inside a cavern he coincidentally discovered, Aranym began to question his belief in the justice of the world. When he also discovered that the woman he secretly loved had broke an oath (she swore several years ago in order to stand in for justice) and abandoned the region of Camadyl (that she formerly used to protect) to join a strange group of alchemists infested with the idea that a peculiar elixir called The Heart of Earth could grant its user infinite powers, he became even more desperate and resignated, until he met an old sorceror called Dernaran, who aroused his slumbering magical talent and taught him mighty magical skills, like the art of Mental Linking and the invocation of elemental forces.
Suddenly the old Dernaran was consumed by a surge of energy emitted by a failed encrypting ritual, and Aranym lost hope again and went into an old hermit hut in the hills of Edarol, that he rarely left for three months.
But when he heard the stories of the strange disease, his old idealism awoke and he stood up again in order to free the world from this scourge.
Appearance
Aranym has a fine but angular, somewhat elvish-looking face, glinting green eyes and a rather thin figure. He is young, but already marked by the painful experiences that life can bring you, but nevertheless you can somehow derive his decidedness from his outer appearance.
Aranym is likely to wear a long gown holding various pockets and with seams made of a somehow red material. At his belt, you can see a sword looking like a narrower and smaller version of a curved scimitar, with various arcane glyphs engraved.

Script
- never try to deliver killing blows (attacks that would be lethal only if they crit do not count)
- If dazzled: use Minor Discharge
- If single enemy in range: cast Pressure Blast (or Flame Cluster if the enemy would survive)

[spoiler="Story"]Aranym is a person of free mind and very familiar with the power of elements. He grew up in the region of Camadyl, that was untouched by most detrimental influences for a long time. Both he and his brother Lendyr were fascinated by the mysterious power called "magic" very much. But unlike Lendyr, Aranym saw his as his duty to become a mage, while the brother preferred to go in search for ancient secrets as an adventurer.
When Lendyr was killed by a random drunken soldier with a crossbow in an attempt to protect the treasury of some ancient Elven tomb inside a cavern he coincidentally discovered, Aranym began to question his belief in the justice of the world. When he also discovered that the woman he secretly loved had broke an oath (she swore several years ago in order to stand in for justice) and abandoned the region of Camadyl (that she formerly used to protect) to join a strange group of alchemists infested with the idea that a peculiar elixir called The Heart of Earth could grant its user infinite powers, he became even more desperate and resignated, until he met an old sorceror called Dernaran, who aroused his slumbering magical talent and taught him mighty magical skills, like the art of Mental Linking and the invocation of elemental forces.
Suddenly the old Dernaran was consumed by a surge of energy emitted by a failed encrypting ritual, and Aranym lost hope again and went into an old hermit hut in the hills of Edarol, that he rarely left for three months.
But when he heard the stories of the strange disease, his old idealism awoke and he stood up again in order to free the world from this scourge.
Appearance
Aranym has a fine but angular, somewhat elvish-looking face, glinting green eyes and a rather thin figure. He is young, but already marked by the painful experiences that life can bring you, but nevertheless you can somehow derive his decidedness from his outer appearance.
Aranym is likely to wear a long gown holding various pockets and with seams made of a somehow red material. At his belt, you can see a sword looking like a narrower and smaller version of a curved scimitar, with various arcane glyphs engraved.

But one day, Arianna came across an abandoned ruin on her travels. Entering out of curiosity as to what lay inside, she quickly ran inside, soon coming across a mostly empty room. Besides the light spirit inside.

The light spirit could have killed Arianna, and made her pay for her dark mistakes. But instead, he showed her visions of the future that lay ahead if she continued to pursue the dark power- thousands of innocent people dead, and her own soul consumed by the dark arts, her body used to wreak havoc upon the world.

Arianna finally realized her mistakes. Frightened by the dark future that awaited herself and the world, Arianna thanked the spirit for the vision, and made a pact that if she ever again uttered a word of dark magic to hurt an innocent, she would be killed. Arianna burned the ancient tomes of magic that gave her her power that night, and pledged to study the healing arts to seek forgiveness for her mistakes.

A year has passed since...
Snagged restoration. DEF and RES+1, HP+3. Awyeah tanky.

Arianna thought about her own crimes. Was this a sign that she should stay instead? Maybe it was. But... she couldn't leave Aranym and Alyss on their own. I heard horrible stories about that book.

It would be bad enough if you sacrifice your very life for sealing the city... but with this book... you most likely wouldn't just sacrifice your life, but your soul would devour itself... eternal pain and terror. I don't... I don't believe the cause is worth it.
Also, much greater misery could befall the city - and the entire world if you cast a spell from this ...abomination of paper... There are rumours, and I tend to believe them because they are so terrible no human could just make them up. This could lead to a much worse situation than we have now, even though right now, that is hard to believe.

But I guess we have to make this decision, even though we are likely to pick out the wrong option. It can hardly get worse... well, it can. If the worst thing happens, the world won't even be able to recover - everything would cease to exist, and only doom and horror will remain. But if your decision is right, Count, you will have saved the lives of hundreds of innocents... and maybe humanity.

Image Healing Light [x/4]: Arianna creates two "healing lights" that can be spread among the party members, healing [15] HP each. (Ex. If Arianna has two "healing lights," she can use 2 on one person to restore [15+15] HP, or use 1 one two people to restore [15] HP to each.) [260 AP]

Image Aura Barrier [x/4]: Arianna places a shield on the target. This shield absorbs [15] points of damage. Even if the shield runs out of "absorbtion HP" in the middle of an attack, the unit will still not take damage from the attack, although he will take damage from the next one. [180 AP]

Planned: Divine Fire [x/1]: Arianna fuses divine flames into an ally's next attack, doubling the damage it deals and making it unmissable. [140 AP]

Restoration [x/4]: Arianna exorcises disease from the ally's body, curing them of all status effects other than petrification (although solidifying can be cured.) This spell can be used in conditions where she would otherwise be unable to use it, such as stun, but costs twice the uses.

Story:
A former practitioner of dark magic, Arianna once held great power. She was feared by many, who knew her for her ruthless pursuit of more and more power to have all for herself.

But one day, Arianna came across an abandoned ruin on her travels. Entering out of curiosity as to what lay inside, she quickly ran inside, soon coming across a mostly empty room. Besides the light spirit inside.

The light spirit could have killed Arianna, and made her pay for her dark mistakes. But instead, he showed her visions of the future that lay ahead if she continued to pursue the dark power- thousands of innocent people dead, and her own soul consumed by the dark arts, her body used to wreak havoc upon the world.

Arianna finally realized her mistakes. Frightened by the dark future that awaited herself and the world, Arianna thanked the spirit for the vision, and made a pact that if she ever again uttered a word of dark magic to hurt an innocent, she would die. Arianna burned the ancient tomes of magic that gave her her power that night, and pledged to study the healing arts to seek forgiveness for her mistakes.

A year has passed since...
Arianna grins madly. "I hold all the power, dear Zalant, for I have the herbs. If you don't give me the book, I will kill you, and you won't be able to cast the spell or save the world. Are you going to hand me the book or not? I'll assume you want to die if you don't respond quickly enough."
"It only hurts when my squad won't f***ing heal me."
