I haven't spent my AP yet...
Now it's upgrading time.
Anyway, I most likely take +3 HP and spend what's left.
How many AP do you charge for +1 Flame cluster use?
Or possibly I take a "retribution" skill that somehow raises the damage of all his attack spells by 1 for the rest of the battle for every 10 points of damage dealt to him or a barrier on him. This bonus is voluntary and applies only if Aranym considers it just and necessary.
If +1 damage for every 10 dmg absorbed is too uber, I'll change that to "raises one single spell's base Atk by 50% for one turn".
How many AP would which version take? How many for the first version if I set a limit that it can maximally result in a total bonus of +3?
I guess that in any case 70 AP wouldn't be enough.
(In any case, it would be useless if it doesn't work in this battle already.)
Also, an addition on Mercy:
When he kills an enemy, this makes him unable to attack anyone for the rest of the battle. [? AP]
I guess that using MLink this turn is okay. This paves the way for Zalant and me, then I will start burninating the vile usurper. And using Discharge on that wretched idol.
Boartz is one tanky tank. Well, he's a big bad boss, though...
Arianna should take off the bag and put it into inventory... we need every Avd we can get. Especially you as a healer.
Also, what about rubbing the blue - or at least the green - herb on Alyss' weapon? Clonks, would that do something?
And... Scroll reading is a minor action, isn't it? If it's the case, then I will also analyze Boartz.

Damage dealt to your aura barriers would be ignored for the purposes of calculating the bonus Atk, as that'd be too cheap.octagon wrote:Or possibly I take a "retribution" skill that somehow raises the damage of all his attack spells by 1 for the rest of the battle for every 10 points of damage dealt to him or a barrier on him. 105 AP for constant bonus Atk. 95 if it's capped at +3.
I'd prefer you not to take the second version.
Meh, I'm not a fan of taking negative abilities during the middle of the game in order to get bonus AP. You should've taken that ability at the beginning of the game instead.octagon wrote:Also, an addition on Mercy:

Funny that you mention it, actually, as he doesn't even have the "boss" ability.octagon wrote:Boartz is one tanky tank. Well, he's a big bad boss, though...
No, the herbs don't contain enough poison to do anything this way. They need to be eaten directly to have a noticable effect.octagon wrote:Also, what about rubbing the blue - or at least the green - herb on Alyss' weapon? Clonks, would that do something?
Yes, a scroll is an item, so using scrolls is a minor action.octagon wrote:And... Scroll reading is a minor action, isn't it? If it's the case, then I will also analyze Boartz.

New idea:
Summon Sprite [x/1] [? AP]
Aranym invokes a manifestation of pure energy - a ball of light - to aid him in battle.
The sprite disappears again after battle. Aranym can dismiss it.
Surely takes a truckload of AP. Depending on the truck size I'll take it on Lvl 5.
I take the sword for the case that someone (re-)joins with a pure melee fighter or anything else that finds it useful - it might be also great for Alyss if we fight an enemy with wimpy Avd.

Sprite Stats wrote:4 HP
04 Atk (magical) | 100 Hit | 00 Crt
03 Def | 06 Res | Avd 50 | 15 CEv
Attacks:
Zap: Normal (magical) attack. Works against RES like a spell. Probably needs a better name.
Blinding Colors (x/3) No damage, 100 Hit, dazes enemy for 1 turn.
Flicker (x/4) The sprite wildly moves around. Avd+20 for 1 turn.Spoiler: Script
* Blind most dangerous enemy if uses are left
* Flicker if enemy prepares attack or if an enemy has more than 60% of squishing it
* Zap

@octagon: 250 AP, I guess.
She was lv2 with 50 XP before. She gained 40 XP from Boartz. That makes 90 XP in total. I don't think I'm missing anything, though feel free to double-check if you'd like to, of course.octagon wrote:It can't be possible that Alyss didn't have any xp before the fight.
She already did 1 or 2 bandit battles with us before - I'm pretty sure she gains a level now! Please someone check the previous pages...
