@octagon: I'll think about it. For the time being, however, I want to focus on The Arcadia Project. :)
(Also, if I'm doing a sequel, you'll probably be allowed to continue using your characters, so your levels, skills and stuff will not be lost if you want to keep them.)

@AoD: Yeah, I'll give you that. I saw your character's HP, thought "well shit, now I can't make Boartz too strong or they'll be screwed", and somehow ended up making him too weak because I didn't take your characters' epic Res into account. :?

@Ditto: Making it go on with no story and no purpose? Sorry, that wouldn't work; good things should stop while they're still good. I can make a sequel at some point though, if you'd like me to.

That leaves only one PnP currently running now. And I'd actually like to play one for a change, too. :/

Fine... but I would like a sequel.

I would like to run a PnP, but you know how I am... A) no good ideas, B) unexpected laziness, C) committing myself to more than I can handle...

@Ditto: I shall make one at some point, then. ^^

A) Honestly, my storylines usually are fairly generic, too. It's not that hard to pull something off that can at least keep the players interested; also keep in mind that you can always just draw inspiration from other PnPs and games.
B) Well, uh...
C) Huh. It's really not that difficult to run a PnP. All you really need to do is to think about your storyline before you start the PnP (and keep notes about it somewhere where you can quickly check it), think about some rough events that you want to happen, keep track of enemy and item stats (and some of the more important player stats, like EXP/AP and stuff) and, most importantly, try to keep the game running without any large pauses in between.
Depending on how much happens, I usually spend somewhere between one and two hours per day on running my PnPs.

I'd like to make a TVTropes article about this in the Roleplay namespace. Would you allow me to?
Even though this PnP was fairly short, I think it could be nice to do that.

I dunno. I guess I don't mind, though. Go ahead.
Just make sure to post a link when you're done, I wanna see it. ^^

Indeed, this is a very trope-worthy PnP.

Spoiler: What I have so far
[code]http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/R ... ction=edit

''Tears of a Phoenix'' was a [=PnP=] RPG in the forum of the open-source 3D dungeon-crawling game ''Egoboo''.

The plot revolved around the country of Renegard, where half of the population had fallen into a coma and

The player characters were:
* Katherine, a BountyHunter. Disappeared mid-game due to temporary absence of her player.
* Arianna, a former necromancer, now atoning as a priest and healer.
* Gurtagh, a [[HalfHumanHybrid half-orcish]] warrior.
* Aranym, a
* Hans, a {{pirate}}. Disappeared in the initial phase of the game, his player returned later with Alyss as a new character.
* Alyss, a young elven girl.

* ActionGirl: Katherine.
* AerithAndBob: See above.
* AnnoyingArrows
* AnticlimaxBoss: [[spoiler: Advisor Boartz]] wasn't ''that'' hard to beat.
* AntiHero: Gurtagh. [[spoiler: Zalant's]]
* ApologeticAttacker: Aranym.
* BenevolentEmperor: King Opher.
* TheAtoner: Arianna.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Arianna and Aranym.
* BreakTheCutie: Aranym, again.
* EmotionalBruiser: Gurtagh is very sentimental about his mother.
* EvilChancellor: Boartz.
* EvilSorcerer: Arianna, formerly.
* GetAholdOfYourselfMan: [[spoiler:When Arianna flipped, Aranym tried to [[InvokedTrope invoke]] this.]]
* GlassCannon: Alyss and Aranym.
* JerkAss: Gurtagh.
* KnightInSourArmor: Aranym.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Gurtagh.
* HeroicBSOD: Aranym's status, most of the time.

* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Zalant, in the end.]]
* MacGuffin: [[spoiler:The phoenix feathers may [[RedHerring not even have existed at all]].]]
* ThePlague: The coma disease.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits
* RevolvingDoorCasting: Only two of the initial characters were involved in the ending. Some characters left or disappeared mid-game, and after the beginning, someone dumped his character and returned with another one.
* ShamingTheMob: Aranym's MomentOfAwesome.
* ShieldBash: Gurtagh has this as a skill.
* SquishyWizard: Aranym, again. Arianna ''extremely'' averts this, taking the additional role of a tank in late game.
* StaffChick: Arianna, fullstop.
* StandardStatusEffects
* StoneWall: Gurtagh.
* StuffBlowingUp: [[spoiler:The ''entire capital'' explodes in the end.]]
* TheWoobie: Arianna.
* TomeOfEldritchLore: The [[HPLovecraft Necronomicon]], which has a cameo in this PnP.
* TraumaCongaLine: Aranym's backstory, in {{Narm}}ish dimensions.
* WhatTheHellHero:[/code]
The current main problem is that ~every second word is "Aranym". No surprise, since I have thought about his tropes during his creation.

Suggestions, improvements and additions?

Fixeth. I read thorough a bunch of our old PnPs lately, all my characters seem to share variations of the same personality. Mine. Lol.
