A quick clarification in the form of a ramble:
A dream isn't necessarily a memory that your character has. Sometimes a dream is just a dream full of nonsense and symbolism, sometimes its supposed to be a mix of nonsense, symbolism, and your character's memories and recent events. Combat and conflict in dreams is entirely RP and the success of your attempts depends pretty much on how much agency your character is given in that particular dream.
Your attempted actions (or lack of) in a dream matter quite a lot later down the line.

Does getting KO'd cause you to miss experience in this system?

Not really. Every encounter has a flat amount of EXP that it grants (regardless of how you solved it, even if it wasn't through combat), and then every individual PC can get extra by landing killing blows, using good tactics, healing or buffing others, and doing awesome stuff in general etc.

All you'll miss is whatever extra EXP you could have gained if you hadn't been KO'd.

By the way, when I wrote "Ask Desmond to have a closer look at the sword", I meant as in "ask Desmond if you can have a closer look at it yourselves" not "ask Desmond to make sure it isn't a fake yo".

But I like the idea of a possible counterfeit. Who knows, maybe it is? Time will tell.

That sure was a post worth waiting for.

Well, I needed the time to make the inventories for the different shops, it wasn't technically for that single post but rather so that I'm ready for the ones that are going to come next. (But yes, it did end up shorter than I expected it to be.)

I'm really indecisive about those choices because I'm scrupulous about choosing unimportant options due to them causing unnecessary turn and thus a lot of delay... but my indecision keeps ending up stalling the game more.

Those aren't really choices, those are merely suggestions to help you guys decide what to do next. You can do other things if you want (for example, you could say, go look for a church in the city, even though I didn't list that), this is an RP after all.
I called it "points of interest" because it's supposed to sort-of emulate how one might interact with their environment in a classic isometric RPG like Baldur's Gate. That is in the sense that your character is standing in a room and you can see everything in it and click and interact with most things, but you don't have to (and sometimes it will be a waste of time).

I always want to select several options at once.

So do that. If you're in a town you will usually be able to do everything without pressure (so you could say "Surlak checks every single goddamn business establishment" and I'll just give you a list of all the shops.)
If you're adventuring and for some reason you didn't have time to do all of the things you chose to do in a post, your character will simply try to do them in order.

The group is in a tavern right now, looks like impeccable timing to me.

I had an inkling that the weird kid was Sutekh, but my immediate memory did not offer the others...

Is my character going to come in from the "part of the crew" angle or be a new arrival?
