Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
I have some backstory of my own ready to be written, but I wasn't sure if it should be put on display when I don't think Natalia would have spoken up about it yet.

You can always PM it to me so I can use this information for evil plot-related purposes.

Sent it over. I can't think of any nefarious uses for it, but I'm eager to see how thoroughly you prove me wrong.

It's not as fun if you know that I will.
Have a for all that plot-bait.

Also, I drew a better picture. I don't have much else to do at 4 AM.

Whew, that one took a while. On the plus side, every one of those job offers is planned out as a quest that you can do, though some of them will only be able to be completed much later (except for one that you already made completely moot, see if you can guess which one it is :D).
Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
Please state the actions of your characters explicitly, as mentioned in the rules (#8)."I'll be there too. I'd want to take a look at that portal as well if I wasn't the only caster in our group..."
The sentence above can be interpreted in several ways: as Surlak wanting to come with Natalia, to go to the blacksmith (with Erinelca) about the job or to stay in the tavern with Svenn.
There should no ambiguity regarding what your character actually does. Pretend you're playing Zork and have to input what you do into a text prompt. Mentioning who your character is addressing is also useful. :)

GET YE FLASK
Fixed. I'll hopefully keep it in mind in the future...

I'm assuming there's no way to enlist the help of a caravan or anything like that to transport the smith's materials?

Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
Don't ask me, I'm just a DM. Ask the NPC directly. ;)
(Hint: There isn't. But don't let that stop you from finding out why.)
Edit:
I want to clarify: Going to Wakefield is a detour from your destination (in case that wasn't clear). Your objective lies to the north, while Wakefield is southwest of your current position. You'll have a more cohesive map you can look at soon.

Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
It isn't common knowledge, actually. I mentioned its name a couple of times in conversations as a form of forshadowing, specifically so that you ask about it later at some point.Sorry if the apparent northern border is common knowledge and I kind of broke the fourth wall.
Sorry I'm kinda sparse with non-dialogue actions in dialogue scenes
Honestly, you're doing fine. Stop apologizing so much or I may begin to suspect that you're Canadian.

I have no input nor new questions before we set off.

Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
This upsets me. I had a character dynamic/development thing all planned out for Nat and Erin and everything.

Re: Dream Eater PnP - Rules of Engagement
I had some stuff planned as well, but it appears that PF5 isn't playing anymore... I have something planned in case he wants to return.
Alternatively, PF5, I get the feeling that you're not into role-playing all that much... We can have your character stick around as a combat-only character with minimal plot involvement, if you like. That way I won't be dropping dream sequences and other plot-heavy things on your head, but it means that your character will essentially be an NPC controlled by you, instead of being an integral part of the story - sorry, but I need more participation on your part for the latter.
While I'm at it, I know my own posts have been kinda slow, I've been swamped with work lately. I'll make an effort to post in the middle of the week as well.
