I, the host, pick a category, and each player picks a card, the card can be anything. Once everyone has selected a card, I reveal the category.
Example: I select the category "Recycle-able". I do not reveal it yet.
Everyone submits the cards they choose:
I reveal that the category is "Recycle-able". Now, you each have to convince me why the card you have submitted fits the category the most. I pick a winner, winner gets praise, winner hosts the next round. If the winner doesn't want to host or doesn't respond within a day or two, anyone can grab their spot and host if they want to.Acid-washed jeans
A Spitfire fighter plane
A slab of ham
The abstract notion of togetherness
Some sweet synthesizer beats
A Grub Bug
The artist formerly known as Prince
You are free to use whatever twisted logic you want, you'll increase your chance to win if you make it creative. For instance, the jeans guy could say "Fabric is bio-degradable, I win." but then the synthesizer guy could say "Have you seen the state of pop music today? Is there anything more commonly recycled than sweet synthesizer beats?!"
Guess who would win that round. Hint: it's not the jeans guy.
The only rule, however, is that you have to make an attempt to validate your card no matter how ridiculously detached it is from the revealed category. I'll maintain a list of round results and submissions for bragging rights. :D
Let's start then? Submit your cards.
