Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
I love how Kirisa's the only one in this party with a non-negative perception.
Looks like we're gonna be a bunch of daydreamers.

Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
Yes, the effects of -5 Perception will either be extremely hilarious or extremely annoying.
I just realized that damage reduction is rare in DnD-based systems...right?
In this case, Quickstrikeflurrybarrage has no actual disadvantage, but effectively means dealing 50% more damage.... it doesn't seem to work well in DnD systems, so I should replace it with something else.
Kreldos, Lv1 [0] [Front]
10/10 HP
1/1 SP
6-11 Dmg | +8 Hit | 17 AC
Glaive (2-7 Dmg)
Light Metal Garb (2 AC)
Light Bracers (1 AC)
Btw, how much would Great Divide cost if it wouldn't stun the user next turn? And how much with 2 uses instead of one?

Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
Some classes get free damage reduction as they level up (I remember barbarians, warlocks, favored souls), and items with DR are a relatively common sight, especially element-specifc DR.octagon wrote:I just realized that damage reduction is rare in DnD-based systems...right?
Expect things like golems, skeletons, zombies, etc. to have DR, but for the most part, not a lot of enemies will have any in this system.
And don't worry about perception, I will do my best to keep it more hilarious than annoying.
Oh, but there will be blood ambushes.

Eh, remember, we don't get to start with stuff, Octy.
Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
125 AP without the stun. 2 uses cost twice as much, 250.Btw, how much would Great Divide cost if it wouldn't stun the user next turn? And how much with 2 uses instead of one?
Extra uses always cost as much as the first use, because the premise is that most abilities are meant to have 1 use.
The bigger portion of enemies you will encounter will have a diverse range of different 1-shot abilities rather than a few they can use a whole lot of times.
Anyway, if you're more or less ready, I'd like to start this in 2-3 hour-ish.

Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
Waitin' for the next GM post. Kirisa follows Karina to the Hermit.
Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
It'd be nice to have some input from the third member of the merry band too.
Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
Yeah, I guess. Sorry for my impatience.

): The third member of the merry band isn't posting.
Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
The third member of the band had a busy day; he'll try to post ASAP.
Re: Deliverance PnP - Talk Thread
Just to clarify, if your Willpower or Intellect are negative, they are treated as 0 for spells.
Don't worry about your -5 perception, it mostly governs checks like the check with Kirisa's Intellect revealing additional information about the Hermit crew. Just don't consider yourself much a sniper.
It's hard to explain exactly what perception represents, it's not just eyesight, it represents all of your senses, and your ability to understand your own senses (you could call it wisdom). People with low perception are daydreamers, as Shade put it, and tend to suffer from tunnel vision. People with high perception can process information extremely well, reach conclusions quickly and effectively.

Ah, okay.
Planned ability for next level:
Mend [5] [active] [ AP]
By application of basic medical knowledge, Kreldos heals an ally or himself by [2+INT] HP. Minor action.
Planned addition for Great Divide:
If the attack misses, no use is consumed.
