Well, these are "killing machines" that you're fighting, so I suppose I am.

If he was trying to serve us tea and cakes he probably wouldn't be this good of a GM. ;)

I just mean, these things are way out of our league! If we didn't have a bunch of overpowered NPCs to help us out, we'd be reduced to bloody paste withhin a single turn. Oo
It feels... different to be the scrub to help out the heroic NPCs rather than the heroic heroes with a bunch of NPC scrubs as helpers. xD

(Also, tea and cakes are served all the time in Touhou and it doesn't make its characters any less badass. \o/ )

The encounters are designed with the NPC's in mind, I'm not going to throw those things at you when it's just the two of you (not initially, at least :)).

Don't worry, by the end of the game you'll be taking down guys like these by the numbers.

Updates are going to be slow for about 1÷1.5 month due to duck season rabbit season exam season, but I'll do my best to make three posts per week.

Shade, how long ago did you pick the Pragmatism ability? I fear I may have forgotten to take it into account.

I picked it before we recontemplated our base spells. I assumed you took my description of it extremely literally and only applied it to attempts to learn completely new spells, which is why I didn't bother to complain.

You got it pretty much right. You didn't have the ability when you initially learned the spells (at the start of the game), so I doubt I would have given you that bonus if I remembered it.

The spell contemplation thing isn't a mechanic that you can use by your selves, by the way, it's just a way to have it make sense in terms of the story, you can't do it when ever you want to, in case you had plans. :P

Random.org was down today, so I used this for most rolls in the last post:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm
Probably going to keep using that, even though it appears to be less "truly random" - to me it appears to actually emulate real dice better, which I like.

We can't heal that much in one turn... We're probably better off trying to finish that thing off before it gets another attack in.
Let's abuse that AGI malus for great justice.

I was thinking of Face Faulting it again because stopping it from doing anything may just turn out to save someone's life.

Also, I have all this AP now but I'm not sure what to spend it on. :P

Spend them on a skill that allows you to cast multiple spells a turn. You know you want to.

In case he doesn't, just have him face fault that guy like he said he was going to.
