He was disgusted by the crazy illusionist. A sick coward without any honor, who just attacked random people without any reason. Heck, it wasn't even fun to harm the innocent!
But still, he managed to control his rage because his personal revenge against Zorg was more important to him at the moment.
"I wanna rest a bit here. Upstairs is surely the right way to go.
But when we're done with the next floor, I also want to take a look into that "evil" cellar... There cannot be anything we can't handle."

Background: James is a Magician, so to speak. He practices Illusion, the art of deceiving the audience through quick, careful movement. All illusionists belong to the official "Guild of Honest Gentlemen", and take a vow of secrecy before they are taught the tricks of the trade.
Now as it just so happens, James has been accused of revealing said trade secrets to a non-member (which he may or may not have done, that too is a secret), so the guild is pretty pissed and are trying to get a hold of him.
That is why he can't stay in one place for too long, and has to travel the lands until he can clear his name or until the whole thing is forgotten. Accompanying James, his trusty sidekick sir Mutt... Or, he did, at least, back when sir Mutt was still well. For now he travels alone. :(
James sighs. Four bloodies knives suddenly appear from his fingers.
"Alas, you two are far too trusting. I don't like the look of this "adventurer"."
He proceeds to clean his knives with a small napkin that also seems to have appeared out of nowhere.

You can use your skills/spells as many times as you like out of combat, but only until your MP runs dry at which point it's restored for the coming battle. Most of the time...
Late EXP appears.

Oinkiver beheads poor Gantua to make a point and Jörn leads you all up to the next floor. There's a circle of candles and a discarded spell-scroll. A purple light appears in the middle, and smoke begins to rise. Out of the mess, Zorg's face appears.
"Oh, Chad... I love the way your lips k- wait, I'm on? Oh shit! Chad! Get off me!
Ahem. Muhahahahahaa! You'll never make it through the stuff I've laid in wait for you... your behinds will soon look just like your dogs'! Muhahahaha!
Chad! I'm sorry! Come back, we can get back to where we - goddamn it, just turn the damn spell off already!"

Then the smoke disappears, but the candles stay lit. The room is not as big as the reception hall, but there are small cracked trapdoors all around, as if it was home to many creatures.

Jörn walks around through the room and tries to avoid the trapdoors, which he does not trust. He especially looks for another light source aside from the candles.

Switched to Egoboo status bars now. That makes the code horrible but the sheet awesome, doesn't it?

At the very end of the room, two of the larger trapdoors open to reveal passageways. There's one on the left and one on the right... there are some drops of blood trailing from the right one.
Interesting stuff next post. Would rather be re-watching Higurashi right now.
