"Damn it. Why didn't all of you just shut up? You all had such great futures. And now they're gone, because you wouldn't keep quiet. You disgust me, filthy traitors. Wait here until your execution, maybe you'll rot early and we won't have to touch your filth." The warden spits on the ground by your cell and walks away in disgust, as four guards take his place. An electric wall shoots up from the ground, sealing off the cell. There is no way out any more. All that surrounds you is solid rock and cruel electricity, and attempting escape would result in broken limbs or fried skin. You don't feel like you could be yourself, because this would never happen to you, with your brilliance, creativity, and future full of oppurtunity.
You feel like a spectator looking down from the heavens, looking at four people in a cell. There is a scientist and doctor girl in a corner, body and soul bruised, with her brilliance wasted, blonde haired and wearing a black dress, radiating with muffled light. There is a giant howling through the electric wall at the guards, strong willed and bold, who should be roaming free but is instead trapped in a cell. There is a d'warven priest whose kindness is being mocked and wasted, who tries to console the giant in the hour when he is most angry. Finally, there is a great engineer and physicist, creativity unmatched who sits in the corner opposite the girl, with his brilliance being laughed at. All great people, most likely destined to die without spreading their greatness among those who could benefit from it, because no one shared or respected their views, and everyone wanted them to shut up because they didn't want to hear the ugly truth. And worst of all, they had no way out. Sure, they snuck weapons into their cells, but they had a castle against them, the people and the castle itself. If they even tried to fight, the castle itself would bind them with magic, simply floating them to their deaths. So they just did as they were told.
The electric wall dissolves for a minute, and you instantly snap back to reality. A pale young guard, fully armored in platemail with two shields and two huge blades, steps into the cell. Despite his apparent brutality, it seems like his words hurt him as much as they hurt you, physically and mentally. "I'm not supposed to hurt prisoners, but I don't think my friends out there will mind if I have a little fun, especially not if it's with miserable traitors like you." The giant lunges towards him, but the guard quickly says a word, and a beam of magic comes down from the ceiling, freezing the giant in place. The guard releases a fragment of a laugh, and kneels down towards the girl, looking at her face to face with a look of hatred.
Spoiler: Tessa
Since there's nothing you can do right now, you should get to know your cell mates. You've heard that guards carry emergency parachutes, maybe you can try stealing them and falling safely.
Interact and Shizzle.
In case you don't know, Tessa is the girl, and the engineer/physicist is Lucius.
EDIT: Forgot helmet butt damage, took 10 HP away.
