Story:
When Reys was younger, he and his family were wandering merchants who traveled the world selling goods. One day, a group of bandits came to their caravan and brutally attacked them, leaving his parents dead and him badly wounded. He himself would have died had a healer not saved him from death and raised him as his own.

After being rescued by this man, Reys decided that he wanted to be a healer, too. The old healer, knowing that he could not use magic, but wanting to spare his feelings, pretended to teach him the healing arts. Reys became good friends with the old man, and was content there for the time that he spent there. However, when a necromancer left the old healer fatally wounded, Reys could not heal the old man. Upon the healer's death, he told Reys that the reason why he could not use magic was because he had magical blood flowing through his veins, and although he could not directly use magic, every action he took was infused with magical power.

Devastated by the loss of his best friend and the knowledge that he would never be able to be a healer, Reys would have spent his life miserable. However, a few days later, Reys came across a city merchant being attacked by a bandit. Reys defended the man and single handedly knocked out the bandit without any weapons of any sort, saving the merchant and showing Reys that he could still help people without magic. But soon afterward, Reys's plans to be a hero were stopped when a guard spotted his abilities and drafted him into the army of King Noganford.

It has been a year since Reys was drafted into the army. He desperately searches for a way out, but is trapped in by force. However, with the army being sent out for conquest, Reys may soon find the way out he has been looking for so he can protect other people from the threat that Noganford poses.

Reys is of average height and weight. He has very short brown hair, somewhat pale skin, and wears a white robe that is visible through the rings of a light chainmail robe that reaches down to his hands and feet. Under the robe, brown pants and black leather boots are visible. A steel kite shield is strapped to his right forearm, in which he holds a large steel war hammer, and a square shield is strapped to his left forearm, on which he holds a somewhat smaller but still large steel war hammer.
Ugh, great. Guards were around. Reys pulls the white robe that was under his chain robe up so that it covers his head in order to hide himself. Upon hearing the scream, Reys sneaks into the village to see what's going on.
"It only hurts when my squad won't f***ing heal me."

As a vampire, Adelle's body has somewhat different capabilities than a human one. Medicine, potions and other, similar substances have no effect on Adelle. Fire- or heat-based attacks deal 25% more damage to her.
One positive effect of being undead, however, is that she's immune to status ailments. She can also recover HP by drinking fresh blood (foul blood has the opposite effect).

When Adelle's HP drop to 25% or below, her STR and DEX modifiers are doubled (unless they're negative) and her stats (like AC) adjusted accordingly.

Story:
Adelle has the appearance of a red-haired teenage girl with red eyes, but there is much more to her than the eye may notice, as in fact, Adelle is several hundred years old by now - but her body doesn't age. Her blood has been cursed ever since a vampire feasted on it when she was 14; ever since this day, she's been a vampire herself. Her family had already been dead at that point. At first, Adelle had sworn to take revenge against the vampire who had cursed her with this fate, but after a while, she simply gave up - the man who destroyed her life was nowhere to be found.
Contrary to popular belief, vampires do not instantly burn to dust when they come into contact with sunlight; it is merely a little unpleasant to them, due to how pale they are. They do, however, have to drink blood regularly to stay alive - and Adelle hates it. The only way to guarantee that she does not curse her victims with the same fate as herself is to grant them death after she has drunk their blood.
Due to the fact that she does not age, she cannot stay at one place for long; she has to move on to other places after a year or two, or else she risks that people become suspicious of her.
Over the years, she has seen people come and go, be born and die. It has become difficult for her to really care for other people, to keep her human side alive...
Adelle was indifferent to King Noganford's plans at first, but when she realized what cruel methods he was utilizing to further his goals, she decided that she had to try and do something against him - to keep her human side alive. To avoid becoming an emotionless monster...

As the last creature drops to the ground and stops moving, Adelle puts away her sword and leans against one of the trees, panting heavily. She did manage to fight off the creatures, but this cost her almost all her energy - if she were to encounter another one of these creatures, she'd probably be done for.
After catching her breath, she picks up the gold and looks around. Where is this place in the first place? Had she just paid attention to where she was going...
She sits down next to a tree and leans against it, trying to get some rest before attempting to find the way back.

Backstory/Personality
Standing before you, alongside her faithful companion, is a person generally considered 'evil' or 'chaotic'. Hailing from parents who dismissed her for a freak when they saw her red hair and eyes, she decided that rejection was only going to make her stronger, and she begun practicing dark and fire-based magic. About 10 years into her life, she met her companion, with a similar demeanour to her, and similar talents, and they became great acquaintances and never left each others' sight. Their magic became geared toward each others and they made a living out of their team work.
Also, she's a tsundere (Type A). I like tsunderes.

This was one of the few situations where Reys was glad he couldn't speak. He wouldn't make sound to alert anyone, and so he could be a perfect soldier. Swift, silent, and deadly, while able to endure incredible pain and trauma. But he had one weakness, and that was that he cared about people- a weakness he would never lose. Reys sprints at top speed towards the soldiers grabbing the man and swipes at the men with arms holding the man as many times as he can.

Story:
When Reys was younger, he and his family were wandering merchants who traveled the world selling goods. One day, a group of bandits came to their caravan and brutally attacked them, leaving his parents dead and him badly wounded. He himself would have died had a healer not saved him from death and raised him as his own.

After being rescued by this man, Reys decided that he wanted to be a healer, too. The old healer, knowing that he could not use magic, but wanting to spare his feelings, pretended to teach him the healing arts. Reys became good friends with the old man, and was content there for the time that he spent there. However, when a necromancer left the old healer fatally wounded, Reys could not heal the old man. Upon the healer's death, he told Reys that the reason why he could not use magic was because he had magical blood flowing through his veins, and although he could not directly use magic, every action he took was infused with magical power.

Devastated by the loss of his best friend and the knowledge that he would never be able to be a healer, Reys would have spent his life miserable. However, a few days later, Reys came across a city merchant being attacked by a bandit. Reys defended the man and single handedly knocked out the bandit without any weapons of any sort, saving the merchant and showing Reys that he could still help people without magic. But soon afterward, Reys's plans to be a hero were stopped when a guard spotted his abilities and drafted him into the army of King Noganford.

It has been a year since Reys was drafted into the army. He desperately searches for a way out, but is trapped in by force. However, with the army being sent out for conquest, Reys may soon find the way out he has been looking for so he can protect other people from the threat that Noganford poses.

Reys is of average height and weight. He has very short brown hair, somewhat pale skin, and wears a white robe that is visible through the rings of a light chainmail robe that reaches down to his hands and feet. Under the robe, brown pants and black leather boots are visible. A steel kite shield is strapped to his right forearm, in which he holds a large steel war hammer, and a square shield is strapped to his left forearm, on which he holds a somewhat smaller but still large steel war hammer.
It was too easy. He faked one swing, and struck the next, and the next attack missed from the momentum of his speed. He parried a blow with his sword and blocked the next, and without thinking, with the enemy's sword caught on his shield, spins around and strikes the wounded soldier in the back. He wasn't a person right now, he was a machine. A deadly machine.
"It only hurts when my squad won't f***ing heal me."
