Backstory/Personality
Standing before you, alongside her faithful companion, is a person generally considered 'evil' or 'chaotic'. Hailing from parents who dismissed her for a freak when they saw her red hair and eyes, she decided that rejection was only going to make her stronger, and she begun practicing dark and fire-based magic. About 10 years into her life, she met her companion, with a similar demeanour to her, and similar talents, and they became great acquaintances and never left each others' sight. Their magic became geared toward each others and they made a living out of their team work.
Also, she's a tsundere (Type A). I like tsunderes.

Leira laughed as the man spat at their feet and just decides to walk away. Who did he think he was? Just because he turned against his own friends, he thought he was great. He was dead meat. He had made a crucial mistake. It was roasting time! Leira decides to stay back behind Ariel and casts a protective spell to help her. A blue light surrounds Ariel and Leira smiles. There was no defeating them at all.

"What a pathetic fool... Incinerate him!"

You go deeper into the forest. Apart from the trampled brush, footprints, and dead animals, there is no sign of the soldiers. They must have already passed through here. You notice that the dead creatures are no ordinary ones.. they are larger and fiercer. Continuing into the forest, you hear some music. Soon you are in an odd village in the middle of the forest. Nogandorf's army has stopped here, and there are soldiers outside most of the buildings- which are in the shape of giant tree stumps. Soldiers are also at work destroying monsters, even shooting a large carnivorous plant stuck on a small island in the middle of a river. The townsfolk seem to be inside their houses.

As a vampire, Adelle's body has somewhat different capabilities than a human one. Medicine, potions and other, similar substances have no effect on Adelle. Fire- or heat-based attacks deal 25% more damage to her.
One positive effect of being undead, however, is that she's immune to status ailments. She can also recover HP by drinking fresh blood (foul blood has the opposite effect).


- Power Rush [65 AP]
When Adelle's HP drop to 25% or below, her STR and DEX modifiers are doubled (unless they're negative) and her stats (like AC) adjusted accordingly.

Story:
Adelle has the appearance of a red-haired teenage girl with red eyes, but there is much more to her than the eye may notice, as in fact, Adelle is several hundred years old by now - but her body doesn't age. Her blood has been cursed ever since a vampire feasted on it when she was 14; ever since this day, she's been a vampire herself. Her family had already been dead at that point. At first, Adelle had sworn to take revenge against the vampire who had cursed her with this fate, but after a while, she simply gave up - the man who destroyed her life was nowhere to be found.
Contrary to popular belief, vampires do not instantly burn to dust when they come into contact with sunlight; it is merely a little unpleasant to them, due to how pale they are. They do, however, have to drink blood regularly to stay alive - and Adelle hates it. The only way to guarantee that she does not curse her victims with the same fate as herself is to grant them death after she has drunk their blood.
Due to the fact that she does not age, she cannot stay at one place for long; she has to move on to other places after a year or two, or else she risks that people become suspicious of her.
Over the years, she has seen people come and go, be born and die. It has become difficult for her to really care for other people, to keep her human side alive...
Adelle was indifferent to King Noganford's plans at first, but when she realized what cruel methods he was utilizing to further his goals, she decided that she had to try and do something against him - to keep her human side alive. To avoid becoming an emotionless monster...

Adelle bends her brows.
"If he's an evil, usurping king... ...then why does nobody do anything against him? Why do people just let him reign, let things like these happen? It concerns all of us!"
Why does this old woman sound like it didn't concern her? As if Noganford was just a far away myth that has nothing to do with any of them? Such people are disgusting. Truly disgusting...
"I will not just watch. Nothing good can come of people not actually even trying to do anything for their happiness."
She leaves the old woman alone and returns to her little hut. Something needs to be done about Noganford... ...but what? She may be stronger than humans, but not by enough to take on an entire castle's worth of soldiers all by herself, so simply launching a direct attack on Noganford obviously isn't an option. She has to gather allies first... But if all people around here are as indifferent to Noganford's reign as that old woman, that won't be easy.
Thinking about what to do, she takes another walk, not paying much attention to where she's actually going.

You take a walk. You're not paying attention, but you're walking out of the village and there is a large field. Heading in some direction, you walk through the field and enter a smallish grove of trees unknowingly. You somewhat hear odd hooting and squeaking. Another monster owl comes down from a tree, and a mouse the size of a capybara walks over, but you don't really notice.. until a large, ape-like creature climbs down a huge oak and lands on the ground with a THUMP.Here, haz fight. I'm sure you'll pwnt them in two turns min., though..

Holy crap! Are you trying to kill me!? :o

A loud 'THUMP!' suddenly tears Adelle out of her thoughts. She looks around herself. A grove? But more importantly, even more monsters! One owl alone was no threat - but three of those creatures at once might cause trouble...
With her fingers she paints a runic symbol into the air, which suddenly materializes for a brief moment. When it vanishes, toxic rain appears over the monsters.

As a vampire, Adelle's body has somewhat different capabilities than a human one. Medicine, potions and other, similar substances have no effect on Adelle. Fire- or heat-based attacks deal 25% more damage to her.
One positive effect of being undead, however, is that she's immune to status ailments. She can also recover HP by drinking fresh blood (foul blood has the opposite effect).


- Power Rush [65 AP]
When Adelle's HP drop to 25% or below, her STR and DEX modifiers are doubled (unless they're negative) and her stats (like AC) adjusted accordingly.

Story:
Adelle has the appearance of a red-haired teenage girl with red eyes, but there is much more to her than the eye may notice, as in fact, Adelle is several hundred years old by now - but her body doesn't age. Her blood has been cursed ever since a vampire feasted on it when she was 14; ever since this day, she's been a vampire herself. Her family had already been dead at that point. At first, Adelle had sworn to take revenge against the vampire who had cursed her with this fate, but after a while, she simply gave up - the man who destroyed her life was nowhere to be found.
Contrary to popular belief, vampires do not instantly burn to dust when they come into contact with sunlight; it is merely a little unpleasant to them, due to how pale they are. They do, however, have to drink blood regularly to stay alive - and Adelle hates it. The only way to guarantee that she does not curse her victims with the same fate as herself is to grant them death after she has drunk their blood.
Due to the fact that she does not age, she cannot stay at one place for long; she has to move on to other places after a year or two, or else she risks that people become suspicious of her.
Over the years, she has seen people come and go, be born and die. It has become difficult for her to really care for other people, to keep her human side alive...
Adelle was indifferent to King Noganford's plans at first, but when she realized what cruel methods he was utilizing to further his goals, she decided that she had to try and do something against him - to keep her human side alive. To avoid becoming an emotionless monster...

Well, that didn't quite work. Her spell has turned out to be less effective than she had hoped it to be, and those creatures have better reflexes than she had expected, earning her a gash on her left arm. Ridiculous... After all these years, is she really supposed to die to a bunch of mutant animals?
Trying to concentrate on the battle, she furiously charges at the owl and slashes away at it.

One HP... ...damage from poison? I had hoped for something slightly less... ...underwhelming. Like, 10% of the max HP. :(

After defeating the owl, Adelle proceeds to furiously attack the ape creature.

Cutter Rush against the ape creature.
If the ape creature dies from it and I don't get hit by anything, I'll use another Cutter Rush against the Capybara Mouse next turn.

Useful when there are many enemies, maybe, but the Capybara Mouse apparently didn't think of that. I rolled a couple d20s to see if it should actually use that attack, but they mostly said yes.

...well, it is just a brainless monster, after all. xD
Also, another "ouch". Still, curing myself during a fight won't get me anywhere as long as I'm alone, so I'll just try to get rid of that thing as quickly as possible.


Adelle's strikes become less and less accurate the longer the fight goes on; she's losing concentration and becomes more and more exhausted - until eventually, she takes yet another hit.
"Ouch..."
She looks at herself. Blood is running down from her wounds... ...the blood she stole from other people. A strange feeling...
Trying to put an end to this struggle, Adelle continues to attack the last remaining creature.

If it survives and I don't get hit by anything, I'll keep using regular melee attacks against it until either the mouse dies or I get hit.
