I was just about to ask whether you were referring to Fire Emblem, but yeah.octagon wrote:Just a random Order of the Stick reference.

I've only played Fire Emblem 7 (GBA) via ROM so far, and haven't progressed too much yet... I am past the tutorial with Lyn, but not much more. Even though I need my Fire Emblem in small doses, it's fun.

@Seth: The merchandise is god-awful. The bronies who watch it for the geeky nerd cred (most of them) won't even go near that stuff. The show is a step up, but it's nothing amazing and the subject matter makes me want to eat my own spork-punctured eyeballs.

What I mainly enjoy about MLP is entertaining little details, like stealth references, vocabulary, goofy facial expressions or interaction between characters. And the astonishment that I can enjoy it despite its admittedly spork-punctured-eyeball-consumption-inducing subject matter enhances said enjoyment and still hasn't worn off.

But there are so many other shows that have all of that and more (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack? The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy?) and they're far less stupid is the thing.

As long as we're talking about CN shows from the mid-to-late 2000s, Megas XLR.
EDIT: Oh, and Immortal Gran Prix was pretty cool too.

Uh, pretty sure we're not? I suggested two Cartoon Cartoons as infinitely better alternatives to My Little Pony, and that's it.

They were shown on Cartoon Network (CN) here in the Ameriland, so Maxaxle took that idea and ran with it

Yeah, and they were in Australia too, because CN made them. Their originals were the best cartoons of my childhood. Except Wacky Races and Looney Tunes, of course.
