Post by Agent of Dread »

On holidays with relatives for Christmas; not much time to post; PnP on hold. Got bass guitar. No idea how to play, basically.

That's kinda cool I guess...but remember that you shouldn't just play the same note repeatedly, that you have to play it just as well as any other guitar.

Yes. Remember however, that you will never be as awesome as this random guy.[/dreams crushed]

Also notice that his bass has 5 strings. Five!

Tis sad that no-one can live up to him... ever. :(
I can play the final... 16 notes of 'Mind' by System of a Down and provide vocals too, but if you bother to find the song you'll realise it's not special.

Love the technique. Especially the last 12 seconds or so where he appears to be giving you the finger every few moments. :D

Must see when I have the time. Also, 14 string bass would be scary.

Even more scary: 15 string bass. Or 16...

But they can. :)
The Electric Bass is a fairly new instrument, people are still experimenting with different sounds, designs, etc.

Damn, now I want one too.

I feel special that each string on my guitar can play two whole octaves, but I am disappointed in that my un-pubertised hands are incapable of having one finger to a fret.
