Also we need a character who maintains a reserved image but has a secret wild, uncontrolled dark side (check Ronove's Ougon Musoukyoku Meta Super on YouTube if you've seen Umineko).

What if the first stage of development was just an Egoboo mod to get ideas realized and figure out what gameplay elements would be best?...yeah this is a bad idea.

More explosions =/= better, though that reminded me of how EVERYTHING exploded in Goldeneye (64), which led to "What if there was a way to destroy ALL of the objects ingame?" and "What if there was an achievement for doing such things?". Die Chair Die indeed.

But there are no achievements in GoldenEye (N64)...
That's why I suggested implosions instead!

2. Implosions are not better than explosions (or worse...?), but I was suggesting that stuff should be breakable.

This is one of the times I agree with Maxle. Breaking stuff would be fun, and it could be an easy way to hide something.

I thought of some ideas, but since I'm 99.9% surely the only person who would want anything horror-related at all, there would be no use to even post them...

Oh, I'm all for some good horror. It's just that our definitions of "horror" seem to differ.

@Shade: probably... :P But well.

Anyway, just because I'm bored, I thought of some ideas for enemies that could be cool in a horror game, in my opinion, and sprites of them just for fun (the perspective is directly from front, so obviously they suck and wouldn't be useful for anything, even if the ideas would be good (which they're not)):

Some muscular guy with a chainsaw instead of a head and no arms. 8) Needless to say, this would most likely need to be a boss, since it's kinda unique and big, etc. :P Most logical attack for this guy would be, obviously, rushing towards the player with his head first and swing it around. Maybe kicking as well, even though that wouldn't be as 'horror-suitable'.

Military people with a 'shared hearing'; their ears are fused together in some kind of mesh thing in the ceiling, which allows them to hear everything one of them hears. You know, for example if the point in the place where they'd be would be sneaking past them and staying hidden, it would alert all the others of these guys when one of them would notice you. Kinda like a justification to the typical "one enemy sees you > they all come in less than a second" and weird enemies at the same time. :P He has a gun, even though it probably looks like a random pipe or something...
