Stable Egoboo version?
What, in your opinion, is the most stable version of Egoboo? It's for a random secret project

2.6.8, no doubts. The no-EXP-loss shouldn't even be a bug!

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
I don't remember, but probably 2.6.something. Maybe the same AoD meant? Whatever it was, around the time before the whole hero class thing.
...or if I can say it, 2.2.2 maybe, butt it was ancient so.

2.6.1, or whatever the last version that actually worked for me was called.

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
I'd have to say something around 2.4.X.

If I remember correctly, 2.2.4 was pretty stable too.

I think 2.6.8 was the last big stable release.

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
Its complicated You need a ton of libraries and include files and put them inside the correct visual studio folder. There should be some files like Readme.Windows or Dependencies.txt that tell you how to do it.
Also this: http://egoboo.sourceforge.net/phpBB3/vi ... p?f=9&t=48 (a bit outdated, but most of it should be correct)

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
I'm assuming it built a 32-bit version, correct? It is, according to file.
I have a zip containing what I have so far, but dunno where I should upload it :/

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
If it is Egoboo related you could upload it to the Egoboo webspace on sourceforge.
Else there are many free web storages like 2shared, loomit or mediafire.

Hey Shade, what was the exact version that was the last one to work on your computer? I'd like to see what changed between versions

Re: Stable Egoboo version?
I can't quite remember anymore. It was somewhere between the 2.6.x versions, when I was still using the SVN system. I believe something about the graphics was changed shortly before Egoboo completely broke for me.penguinflyer5234 wrote:Hey Shade, what was the exact version that was the last one to work on your computer?
