I watched an episode of this anime called Gosick just now. It seems to be some sort of lighthearted small-arc mystery series, although nowhere near the mindscrewiness of Umineko or something similar. The art is great, it's dynamic, and I enjoyed it. Would say Shade and octagon may be interested, but I will have to watch more.

Started watching Gosick as well now.
After just three episodes, my first impression is that it's made of win.
I wouldn't call it lighthearted, though - Higurashi had some funny moments too, but you wouldn't go and call Higurashi lighthearted, would ya? :P

Yeah, I found out that I was much mistaken shortly after writing the post. I'd only watched one episode, so... :P

It's Meakashi-hen (5th arc/Shion goes batfaeces), since that was one of the only complete arcs the store had. And then it turned out the arc was in four volumes. But booty nonetheless!

The worst answer to the ultimate question ever
The sad truth :C

Done with Gosick.
Awesome series, somewhat BLAM/Gainax ending.
Not enough kissing >:T

So I'm watching Madoka Magica now. Looks like it's going to be good, considering how it's gotten Troper Critical Mass and also the high-five at the start of the first episode was awesome.

Oh hell yes, Madoka is awesome. Not quite your standard magical girl anime, and all the more awesome because of it.

I'm glad they aren't going too overboard on the transformation scenes.

Finally started finishing Code Geass. Now I'm really depressed about Euffie. :(

If you liked Higurashi, go watch Mirai Nikki. It's awesome.

I've heard many good things about it. I've been meaning to check it out for a while.

He really is one hell of a butler.
