Anime, Manga, whatever else

Post by Agent of Dread »

List Of Anime/Manga/Whatever Liked By Multiple Forum Members
-Death Note
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Umineko no Naku Koro ni
-Shakugan no Shana
-Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion
-Howl's Moving Castle (movie)
-Hellsing
-Berzerk
-Soul Eater
-Full Metal Alchemist
-Katanagatari
-One Piece
-Gurren Lagann
-Darker than Black

Going on from that, I'm re-recommending Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (in any form, although the first season of the anime is lacking) to each and every member on the forum. It's a psychological murder mystery with an extremely good story behind it all and amazing characters and writing.

Higurashi seems interesting, even though the characters look like...
Well. If I recall correctly, Shade (or was it Cimeries?) already complained about that. Though you say that the story makes up for it...

I certainly never complained about Higurashi. It's really epic. :)

I added a list of recommendations to the first post. If anyone else has something I should put on there, edit it yourself or let me know.

Hellsing and Berzerk (for which I should really make some time to read again).

Soul Eater! That's the one I kept forgetting the name of.

One manga which I've been reading recently is D. Gray-man... It's quite awesome, but a bit... how to put it, weird while not being weird.
Once upon a time, when unicorns roamed the earth...

I started watching Darker Than Black after a friend's recommendation. It's pretty good stuff.

Gurenn Lagann is basically fanservice with bits of an anime attached - but it is awesome.

I can confirm that both seasons of Darker Than Black (and the OVAs) contain an incredibly huge amount of awesomeness. Watch watch watch.

Also, I just recently finished watching Shiki, a well-made anime about "classic" vampires, if you want to call them that. It builds up rather slowly, but once it gets going, it's pretty good. I recommend watching it if you like that kind of stuff.

After playing through the second arc of the Higurashi Visual Novel, I can safely say I'm no longer on Shion's side. She's really outed as a manipulative b***h in the original iteration of the story.

Anime people, I need something to watch when I run the treadmill.

Something like Darker Than Black / Deathnote / Hellsing would be preferable.
