Epic glitches

Post by Maxaxle »

1. Zooming in speeds up the game to ridiculous speeds, while zooming out gives you reflexes like Neo's.
2. Models morph!
3. The coins look like gold-and-black dots.
4. Flames are nearly nonexistant and smoke makes up most of a torch's trail.
(3 and 4 sound like particle resizing glitches)
5. The menu music will often reset itself (doesn't sound good to hear the first 3 seconds of the music repeat itself between menu items)
6. Strange collision detection glitches on the Elf Starter gravestone (the one that triggers the Zombi)

Bug me if you want to play a game.

Every module I start with a new character starts at any random number under 10 fps, then after a about a minute or two, fiddling with video options or switching weapons, I move at the speed of light die, then it goes back to normal speed, for that character.

The timer is supposed to be disabled while the "pause game" is active so this shouldn't happens. we need to check this out.

The coins look like gold-and-black dots.

I think zefz did something to make the solid particles smaller...

:O I did not. I noticed it myself some revisions ago where the arrows suddenly were a lot smaller than before. I can't think of anything I could have changed in the particle rendering code.

1. Sounds like your PC can't handle the rendering when doing the whole screen, while zooming in to only a small section allows your PC to render it fast. Reduce GFX quality?

2. We need more information than that.

3. This might be because they are drawn with a new orientation, zooming in will make them look more the way you are used.

4. That sounds like a bug from a older version.

5. It will only reset when you select a new module and it begins loading it.

6. Will check out that gravestone in debug mode.

1. Only with this version does my PC do that, and it can play freaking Source engine games!
2. It stopped doing that when I restarted it. Vertices of a mallet randomly warped around the arm of the Elf (disguised as a Lumpkin) when he used it.
3. The coins were higher-definition when I restarted the game but still not dinner plates. When I pressed my eyes against the screen I could tell they were coins.
4. I meant that the flame was TINY as opposed to the smoke, the massive amounts of smoke.
5. Not really. It does this whenever I switch menus. But yeah, it does that too.
6. Thanks. But if I try again, it MIGHT work.

NEW: 7. The Elf module lighting has the module at high noon!
EDIT: 8. Tried the Elf module again, using Book of Morph causes weapons to stretch and deform. Maybe I'll get a screenshot.
9. Random speeding up/slowing down! Can you place game speed limiters please? Example: The Elf module started at normal speed but then slowed down for a few seconds and sped up like crazy when a bunch of Lumpkins came closer.

Because "freaking Source engine games" are more optimized than Egoboo when Egoboo is in zoomed-out mode. :?

Well, Egoboo has done well on my computer until this version.

NEW GLITCH: Bouncing items. Probably a collision glitch.
