[Resolved]Swords have weird range.

Post by Poop Loops »

I always have to get up real close to whatever it is I am slashing in order to actually connect. Is this supposed to happen? Because swords are useless to me in that case. It's weird because the slashing animation shows a much bigger range than actually connects...

I take it you are using a binary you compiled from the SVN. This is a known bug which is probably related to why torches do not light.

Could you release a new binary? It makes some modules unbeatable and we can't find all the bugs in those modules if we can't get to them. :P

Ahh, I see. Though, I remember swords always having a shorter range than what the animation showed...

Sure. But the new binary (along with all the fixes) comes with the bug mentioned in this topic and the fact that relightning torches/braziers wont work. Still want it? (the fact that torches don't work means that also this binary will have some unbeatable modules).

Touching a torch to a brazier should be enough to light it. If that's not the case, WTF?

Thank you, Captain Obvious, but we know that already. In fact, however, it currently doesn't work, which is a serious bug (that prevents a release of 2.7.3b right now).

Because the bug was accidentally added in the latest change to the source code.

Was it supposed to be on this section? I mean this is a bug, isn't it?

Come to think of it, that's correct, but we mustn't really worry; the issue is resolved. :P
