Well, Zefz, I think that, the heavier the weapon, the more it relies on strength and less it relies on dexterity. For example, a Warhammer would rely about 5-20% on dexterity and 80-95% on strength, while a Knife would rely 90-95% on dexterity and 5-10% on strength.

Good idea. Sometimes the weight values in data.txt have little to do with any kind of "actual" weight.

I don't think that really matters. Think of it as Bishopia's official weight unit.

Hehe bits :P (256)

Well, it would be possible to accomplish your suggestion with the current way we have been doing it. Hard code the attack speed in script.txt, adjusting the speed according to strength and dexterity (how much each stat affects depends on what weapon the character is).

You mean like the same as Palsin starter does? That's bad, I think... :(

The Paladin Starter does that too? hmm.. that's strange. I think the Development version may have some more useful debug output.

The Palsin starter crashes when you open the last door and go in the... hallway in there. It has done that always, I think... I'm not sure though.

I was looking at my wizard's objects trying to find his quarterstaff, and I found a skin that was white.
I looked in data.txt and it said it was a book.
Is it supposed to be like that?
Was that a bug in 2.7.5?
(I still use it at the moment, I will probably use the newer version when it works, use it a bit.)
If so, was it fixed?
I was wondering...
Maybe I'll try it in 2.6.4.
[edit] ARGH! I did the pladlin starter and then I tried to load saved player and it took me to it and I think that rewrote my player?
I didn't unlock anything, I think.
But still, there is no pladlin and I did all that work to do the starter.
I"m not going to do it again for a while.
I don't feel like doing any others or cheating.
Oh well.[/edit]

It should be in your egoboo-2.6.4/players folder....

No players folder.
Only folders are 'basicdat' and 'modules'.
I looked in those a little too, but no.
Not found.
I just searched for 'players' in the 2.6.4 folder.
Not found at all.
I wonder why...
