There is the issue of the FPS choke, as well. If we let people adjust the clamp on that, they may just be able to see what effect it has on gameplay and smoothness of animation...

It might be better to put the number of lights in the text file and the FPS in the menu system. that way, everyone could play around with the FPS and see what it does. Without the ability to easily change it, it is likely that certain people will just set it at a max value and never do anything with it...

On the other hand it might be better to have both in the graphics settings :P

It's just that the menu options is getting pretty crammed ^^

We could remove some of the silly stuff like Fast & Ugly mode for example. I'm sure there are others that arent' really affecting the graphics that much (anti aliasing?)

I think there should be a "max the graphics?" control that automatically sets all settings to an awesome computer's capabilities, but then there would be "fast and ugly" as well so you could use Egoboo on a crap computer, as well.

It isn't that hard to do it manually. Just click everything to High, Good, Superb, On and Best. If not then you set it to Low, Poor, None, Off and Lowest. Increasing the screen resolution as high as possible does also increase quality a lot.

Yeah, having the ability to set the Max FPS rate one wants himself would be the best solution I think.
Anti Aliasing actually does do something for me: it causes weird graphical errors, especially in the menu.

(Also, I'm done testing for now, the low FPS limit right now makes things a little hard to play for me.)

Today is the last day of testing anyways :) Well try to fix all those that are reported now and when that's finished, I'll upload the next release. I'm afraid the Abyss 2 doesn't make it to this release.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: TONS of messed-up textures for everything, such as Marcus in Bishopia, when you get the scroll and later return. Also, if you unlock a quest and continue bumping the person that gave you the quest, it will keep saying "MODULE UNLOCKED" every time you bump them that session.

What do you mean with messed up textures?

Which persons loop the MODULE UNLOCKED messages?

1. I mean that Marcus (museum keeper guy) once had the texture of some sort of broken chair. And otherwise he worked. Or mountables with messed up grub bug textures.
2. The guy that gives you the Griffin Tower quest.

Are they white?
I have the same problem.
Usually a loading texture problem.

The white skin texture might be a linux related problem. Case sensitive?

Or the problem is on both OS, but on windows the skins do not become white but instead a randomly picked one from a different object. The problems might be related that way. It could be something to do with the book.obj being loaded and messing up the skin number (since it is loaded in a function after loading all the normal objects).
