Monsters already can level, it just never, ever happens.

Any of course you're going to get a ton of criticals; level 20?! That's nonsense.

@Maxaxle: Are you sure you can't find him?
He spawns in Zippy by the lower buildings in different places, and he doesn't always spawn.

I like that concept, by the way; I was going to suggest that you (Zefz, I mean) do that with Moggy and/or Meena, but I figured "Nah, he'll do it anyway." :)

Looks like there's a door in the adventurer starter with a bad passage entry. It's the one just beyond the drain.

The spit also does not generate light.

I don't understand why spits do not generate light. Did they do that before? Did someone maybe make modifications to the light code?

Monsters can level yes, and they do too! Especially if they kill high level characters. Monsters gain 1% of target xp + 30 each time they kill a player (Character with 14569 xp is worth 176 xp). The monster level system is mostly unused right now. The most it does now is give extra hp and slightly more damage. And a lot more xp value. Not worth the tradeoff if you ask me.

Huh? Is that a hardcoded limit that's always been there? I haven't modified anything with the lightning grfx. And again this might not be a bad thing. Too many light particles at one time might make things look ugly (flickering torches/braziers?).

Meats spits do not generate fire...
I removed the particle grip vertex because it screwed up the model. It was before I learned how to use grips.

But grub spits, which do generate fire, do not generate light.

A little key combo of the "1" and "x" keys.

I know.
I'm just saying that you have no right or reason to complain that you've cheated your character to demigodhood.

It is hardcoded, but it is a matter of speed only. If you have a bunch of lights with large extents, you could require 4 * the number of tiles * the number of lights lighting calculations per iteration (once every 8 frames at the moment).

We could increase the number of possible lights and let the user change the max number for their system.

Yes, we could make it a option in the graphics menu. It could replace the "enable fog" button? (which is currently unused)

That's the irritating lich'cozy brazier bug. I'm not sure how I should fix it. Removing the braziers from the scene seems the easiest one. This adds the challenge of a external light source from the player.
