Should he be killable? I think there should be a reward for killing EVERYONE in Bishopia (for evil/chaotic characters) without dying. I mean, it's really hard to do that.

He is the only one who cannot be killed. His shop inventory is much to valuable to be stolen. In addition his shop is quite close to the exit of Bishopia.

He can be killed, but... by cheating. I mean, I remember I did some changes to the Orb Storm Wand. He died. And with Death Scythe I made...

That's no bug. He's invincible to any kind of damage, but he can still be killed by KillTarget.

@Zefz: Well, you know, Tundra Bunnies can still steal from his shop. That's how I got about 10 life elixirs without paying a single coin.

We need more stuff that uses KillTarget; it could be useful for getting rid of Acid Blobs, Gelfeet, etc.

And my Disintergrate spell. The new disenchant spell kills a lot too. The Disenchant World arch-spell is insane in some levels! (Kills over 30 creatures in one spell!)

But maybe we should make him mortal but insanely tough or near a guard post where up to 50 guards come out and attack you for [crime]?

Naaah. Just get yourself a tundra bunny, it will get you everything you want (except for armors) for free - and you can actually also easily cheat yourself $9999 that way. Just steal an expensive item, then sell it again, then steal it again, sell it, steal it, sell it, steal it, and so on...

Yes, I agree, we should give the death scythe to the shopkeeper! :)

Actually, a Magic Carpet is a slower, subtler way of stealing from a shopkeeper (and it works with any of them). Sell it, then fly it out, then sell it again, etc. Too bad it's on the cheap side.

I think he meant that you can kill him with it, but yeah. That would be a good use for it. Like in Nethack, where the shopkeepers get wands of striking or whatever that seem to never run out of charges.
