I played many times on this map and everything was fine. One of my character had passed throw Sand Palace and ended the phase with one golden key and one silver key on the inventory, then I sold both in Zippy City, which may have caused the bug(or getting out with the keys).
That is everything I can imagine to have caused the bug. Even to the other characters, all the chests there have disappeared.

...Strange. Do you have a log of when you enter the Sand Palace with the chests missing?

Sadly, no one works on Egoboo anymore; the chances of this getting fixed are slim to none.

In fact, what may have caused the bug is possessing two sporks of freedom when starting another Sand Palace phase.

Somehow, the chest and landmine objects and the random treasure list got corrupted...?

Does restarting Egoboo fix it?

Does C:\Users\Guilherme\AppData\Roaming\egoboo\basicdat exist?

Yes, it's all normal when you restart. I tested some times and when you go there with one Spork of Freedom, take another and keep both with you, then sell both keys you don't need on Zippy City, this happens when you go to Sand Palace in sequence.
