Rouge Module:
Left and right no longer move you left or right. Screen turning is not moving left or right.
I can't jump in rouge starter I just headbang.
Once I slaughter half of rouge starter enemies random stuff just starts becoming invisible or just dissappears completely.
The iron ball no longer slows me down it just teleports to me whenever the chain is extended.
The pick up thing which tell you names of items is VERY useful you need to keep it in since I found myself using it constantly when searching a pile of items.
For some reason the ending music didnt play when i finished rouge starter.
The iron ball deletes from your hands if you walk to fast away from knife if you are holding his iron ball.
Money is invisible and can't be picked up
Now found out I can jump if I am already on a mount.

All in all the new features are delicious but the glitches made me want to kill someone.

Egoboo 2.8.0 was marked Unstable, so the glitches along with the new features are to be expected :)

These are simply options settings that are different than you are used to.

This has to do with the Iron Ball. It is supposed to reduce your jump power, not stop it completely.

This sounds serious. Maybe some sort of character allocation error. It's more birdsey's are I think :P

The Iron ball had a number of issues. I think those are fixed in the SVN.

Sounds like a simple script bug. Good job noticing it though...

Whether or not my iron ball is connected to me i cant jump, I just headbang.
But when i try to get off a mount I jump as normal.
And can I please get a non screen turning left and right since I cant play like that since it makes me super dizzy >.<


I'll be posting some other things I notice in other modules if/when I get a thing to make it so my left and right buttons go left and right not turn the screen left and right.

ps I play with the screen fully zoomed out so turning left and right makes it impossible for me to see.

aaaaaand i was going to not be using the svn so i could post all bugs i find in the unstable version for you and anyone else to note.

Change setup settings and disable the auto turn camera. It is currently on Fast mode which makes you dizzy.

Do i change it to bad?

Adventurer module:
The adventurer guy jumps WAY high(higher than the place to get the book).
Again with the dissapearing glitch
Chest held a grub bug(not sure if that intentional)
The Brom and Mim characters can just go through walls if they are stuck.
It was pretty dark with or without the torch.
Plunger in the chest goes into a wall when looted out of the chest.
Spears are dropped one at a time instead of throwing them.
The smoke from the torch doesn't stay with the torch. Turning while holding the torch will cause the smoke to be launched in multiple directions. Not really bad but it just looks unfinished.

Not a bug:Whats with the ticklish message? It kinda creeps me out when I'm poking something with a spear and it says ticklish.


ALSO I forgot this in the rouge starter.
You can walk up the walls. Walls need a bit more slideback-ability.

Elf module:
The elf also has the super jump power.
The walls are easily walked over.
Still the disappearing glitch.
The mosquitos fly away at light speed when killed.
The zombie is now laughably easy to kill since he just stands still if either you stand still or if you get near the edge of the map.(haven't determined which)
The tents no longer catch fire if you just walk past them with the torch, you have to actually hit them.
The gonne lumpkin seems to not be very good with said gonne.
The grave says "bruised" and all the other damage messages.(seems kinda funny)
The faeries make TONS of ripples in the water they are flying over.(especially the book's light faerie.)

I don't know why but the elf starter is now really easy for some reason. I used to have alot of trouble with it but now its much easier... I don't really know why.

Healer Module:
You THROW your healing spell.(aka. HEALDOUKEN)
You can heal tranches and the necromancer.
The necromancer's missle spell is insta-kill if you don't use the rune.
The rune can't be turned off.
Your divine magic regens really fast.
Healer can also jump really high.
Faerie gets stuck on walls weirdly.
There is one of the flaming skull things that seems to be invincible to the healdouken.
The brazier things hurt you if you walk against them.

I would like to say that even though that there are alot of things here most of them are just small complaints and don't really need to be fixed.

Paladin Module:
You throw your blue magic left for some reason.
The Tome of call Gelding doesn't work a second time.
The final key doesn't work on the final door.
The war hammer sometimes knocks grub bugs into the wall and makes them instantly respawn.
If you pick up nothing at the very begginning you can see something called a module controller.
The poison trap seems to poison you forever.


the un-finishable part makes this annoying but otherwise its really fine since the poison doesn't wear off but it does stop hurting you.

Where's the G'nome starter?

You can't jump off the bone bird mount very often.
Spears aren't thrown they are dropped.
You hold a shield sort of backwards in one hand while you hold it fine in the other.

G'nome Start is now unlocked by beating Rogue with K'nife intact.
Also, the poison bug has happened before, iirc.

Do you mean "not wounded at all" or "alive" with intact?
If it's the latter, it doesn't work.
I have none of these bugs, except:

-Chest held a grub bug
I think this is intentional. It is in the spawn.txt. Formerly it was a <grub> bug, but now it is a feature.

He never was. My favorite strategy is morphing, walking up to him and clawing him in melee.

Known bug; I reported this with an Elf before; somewhere is an image.

Don't jump into fire. This is no bug but intentional since ...it just hurts to jump into fire.
I haven't tested the Pally module, though.
-money bug
-disappearing glitch
My character always disappears when hit by a fire ring or fireball. Which is stupid because it makes it unplayable, so Fire ring is not really usable.

Actually I don't jump into braziers I just walk near them and they cause damage.
I went to bed before trying wizard module and can someone tell me how to turn the spinning off since changing the "GOOD" into "BAD" in SETUP.txt doesn't work.


TODAY STARTS A NEW DAY OF BUGTESTING... I don't know why but I am having fun doing all the starters. I never really get around to it.



PS the disappearing bug happens to nearly half the enemies in rouge starter and to only one or two in the others. I think its because either my game can't handle that many things or I'm not expected to kill every last thing in rouge starter. Also the sleeping guys seem to wake up 100% of the time when trying to sneak up on them.[/quote]

The local setup.txt doesn't work. You have to go to My Egoboo Stuff and edit the setup.txt

Change the camera mode to TRUE (default) or FALSE.

I liked it when everything was in one clean folder instead of spread out
