There is a bug in 2.7.4 that makes textures look a bit buggy. This might be causing your difficulties. On windows you can try to replace the contents of your Egoboo folder with this newer binary: http://www.2shared.com/file/6856779/7a3 ... RY-30.html (run egoboo-binary-#30.exe instead of egoboo.exe).

Get the latest SVN and compile it, AFAIK.

Hello, version 2.7.4 is the most recent version that works on my computer (newer versions crash on startup). So I have been playing version 2.7.4. And I have encountered this bug with the Sand Palace and its puzzle not working.

Anyway, do you still have the binary where that problem is fixed? The old link to the binary where it's fixed ( http://www.2shared.com/file/6856779/7a3 ... RY-30.html ) doesn't work. Does anyone still have that file? I would like it so that I can continue on with this game. Or is there a different version you would recommend for me (2.8.x and the 2.9.0 RC1 do not work for me, they crash on startup with a console window, which is why I play 2.7.4).

EDIT: I have fixed this error with the Sand Palace puzzle not working in 2.7.4 (also mentioned in another thread). You can find my solution for it there. My solution only requires modifying a single .txt file, and you can keep the same executable. I am still interested in finding a binary where this texture-handling bug is fixed, from in between 2.7.4 and 2.8.0, such as the one that was at that broken link, since 2.8.x and later all crash on startup for me, so I'm trying to find a way to play 2.7.4 without any bugs that stop things from being playable.
