Don't work
I play until today the 2.22v. That is the only version that works well. In the lastests versions the game show some error's messages, and run slow.
I import some stuffs to the 2.22v, but many of them don't work, like Abyss, Bishop City, and many others. I am a fan of this game for many years, but i would like to take all the new's of the game.
What i can do to fix that problems? I can make all the stuffs of the last versions works in the 2.22?
Before you ask me, i had a good computer. Plays, Call of Duty, Lineage, Warcraft, SoulFu hehe...
Sorry my english, i'm brazilian.
Thanks

Newer modules of course contain stuff which is incompatible with older Egoboo versions. Radically modified gameplay systems [changed meaning of the DEF stat for example], different data syntax and so on...
I doubt there is a converter for converting new stuff for older games, because it is rare that someone needs to convert something in that direction.
Though I could be wrong...
Welcome to this forum, btw.

Thanks for attention!
Despite the problems, that last version, 2.8.1. I can play well. But only in the "New Game" option. When i try the "Load Game" to play the old maps, like "Ash Palace" or "Sand Palace" i got a error message that says:
"That are not enough:'s in file! (mp_players/necromancer.obj/data.txt)"
How can i fix that?

Egoboo 2.8.1 is safe to use. Egoboo 2.8.0 can permanently corrupt your save when you save your game (seems this happened randomly).
Have you copied your save games correctly? Save games in Egoboo 2.8.1 need to be placed under the application data folder and not the local players folder under Egoboo.

No, i just download and install the 2.8.1v.
The 2.8.0 i've uninstalled. I tried reinstalling the 2.8.1, but did not work.
I need only fix that problem, and i could transfer my stuff from the 2.22v(It's many). That version works better than the old versions.(Except 2.22v)
The problem that i have with the 2.22v is, when i modify the spawn.txt, and i add much more monsters and itens, some of them the game apparently do not suport the amount of objects in module, not loading some of them, but i can play.

Oh. That'd mean you haven't beaten any starter module.Fraziel wrote:I didn't see that interface, when I clicked load game all I see is the "back" and "choose an input device to select your player (s)"
I'm definitely lost here
You can find out if that's what causes it by going in the Egoboo folder and open the "My Egoboo Stuff", and then see if the "Players" folder is empty.
