Mass distraction, for example via creating something silly (for example the illusion of a tiny clumsy lumpkin), would probably be more versatile and useful than a single-target spell.

The Confusion spell (Divine spell) disables a big group of monsters. (makes them wander randomly around i.e dazing and grogging them)

Octagon and I were talking about an Arcane version of this, something to distract multiple monsters.

Divine magic is already bad enough as it is; there's really no point in making it even worse by giving all of its unique spells an arcane counterpart.

That's a bit harsh. Divine magic isn't that bad...

1. Divine stuff is more expensive (I think...) and harder to find than Arcane.
2. Divine magic seems to have limits as to what it can and cannot do (for example, there is no Divine version of Rot), limiting its usefulness.
3. Divine mana seems to regenerate more slowly, but maybe that's just me.

@2: There is no need for a Divine version of a necromancy spell.

They aren't sold in as many places, but this is just something to expand upon. The game isn't done yet, and you can't consider this a fault. Not to mention it hasn't been ingame for as long, so less stuff has been made.

Latest release with true random treasure Divine Spells are generated equally to Arcane books when you loot chests.
