More player attachments?

Post by Maxaxle »

I personally feel that simply having shoes and bracelets isn't quite enough. What about some sort of armor enhancer, or a [element]-proof plate, or maybe just something that would improve unarmed attacks?

And if you mention hats, I will point to the mini-downfall of TF2.

What mini-downfall? The game is as great as ever, there are just more idiots populating it.
Anyway, I don't agree. There's no need to over-complicate things, we can put any necessary enchants on either shoes, bracelets or amulets, and that's well enough.

For what reasons can't we put enchantments like those you mentioned on things that already exist (shoes, amulets, rings, bracelets)?
Oh right, the enchantments you mentioned already exist on those items.

They take an inventory space each, so more equippables mean more used inventory space which means less potions and weapons. (anyway, the max equippables is 6 because of inv space, we're using 4 of them)

Agreed. And by "mini-downfall" I mean that Valve is caring less and less about gameplay and more and more about hats.

*raises an eyebrow* So there are enchantments to improve a player's resistance to specific types of damage?

Having the opportunity to wear stuff is better than not having that opportunity (as worn stuff tends to be useful).

There indeed are. I know at the very least of three bracelets that protect against ZAP, FIRE and ICE damage respectively. The ZAP one has in fact been there since Aaron's very first version of the game, in one of the chests in the sand palace.
Now that treasures apparently are all random and stuff, however, I don't know if it's still there.

Now that you mention it, those do sound familiar...a shame I can't load characters due to the can't-find-saved-characters-for-whatever-reason glitch. Yes, I asked Zefz for help. Yes, he tried to help me. No, it never got resolved. No, I haven't updated to the latest version and try again (but I will soon).

The new inventory system makes wearing accessories a lot less tedious. I hated it when they slowed down cycling and you accidentally took them off.

Since I haven't tried it yet, though: How can you put on/take off accessories now?

IDK...Where's the Wikia again?

IN OTHER NEWS, I updated to 2.8.2 and found that the player saving bug is fixed. Yay.

I think simply putting items inside your inventory will equip them automatically. First items put in inventory will be equipped first (and all subsequent items of same type will simply fail until you take the old item out of your inventory first)

But aren't there some (non-kursed) accessories with drawbacks?
In that case, it would probably be better if you could somehow de-equip them without dropping them or putting on something else.

:agree: But how? An item in the Pause Menu, perhaps?
