To prevent people from staying in place (maybe rotating) and gluing down the attack button to deal with tons of enemies.Cimeries wrote:Why?
However, on second thought, maybe this cooldown shouldn't apply if the character is moving.

I take it that AoD doesn't exactly approve, so I'll count his vote as a "nay". And as Octagon said earlier, it needs to be done carefully, so that if it is added to Egoboo, it will be added after a long while of beta testing.Zefz wrote:*Post Deleted*
AoD, don't call other peoples ideas or suggestions that.

Damn, sorry, I was a little worried about the harshness, just tried to carry it with the sarcasm.

It just sounds too complex - I like Egoboo as a really simple game, where it's more 'Press X to not die' than 'Press X and once Y has happened, press X again' or whatever. This just seems like unnecessary complexity.

Right tool in the right hands, we shouldn't penalise people for picking the right thing.

I mean that we should keep people from standing in place and holding down a button (as opposed to *gasp* actual combat!). I mean, the Soldier Starter is balanced because the Soldier cannot shield himself simply by swinging his sword randomly (enemies can hit him between swings).Agent of Dread wrote:Right tool in the right hands, we shouldn't penalise people for picking the right thing.
