So I have been trying to figure out how to let people edit the MediaWiki hosted on our Egoboo project page. I haven't been able to figure out something yet.

What we need is access to LocalSettings.php which manages user rights, but alas we do not have access to all the .php files for the wiki located in the /include folder. Now there is a web based interface that allows someone with administrator rights (me for example) to give a specific user name either admin rights or editor rights.

AFAIK is that even registered users cannot edit the page! What we want is either that every guest can edit the page and maybe even create new ones OR that only registered users on sourceforge can do said tasks.

Does anyone have a clue how to proceed with any of this?

I'd go with giving editing rights to everyone in the dev list on SF.

Can Zefz fix the Informe wiki? I wanted to make a link from there to Sourceforge, but you have to be logged in and be in the category 'Sysops' to do anything. I couldn't even logout of Informe because Special:UserLogout was blocked :x

...This includes all the pictures on Informe that we didn't move to here

The new EgoWiki will have alot more features than the old EgoWiki. EgoWiki 2007 let's you have your own space in the server and upload everything you want, including an index site to make your blog for example. It also includes webmail. If you have no e-mail adress, just register there and you are ok (most of the people do have e-mail adresses, but if you want, you can just register one there).
