The only use I can come up with is carring bodies with you to use Animate.
(Zombies tend to be too stupid to follow you correctly on their own + You dont waste mana keeping them alive when not necessary.)

I mean that, while the Tranch or Guard isn't paying attention, you put it somewhere that makes it obvious (like footprints in Metal Gear Solid 1).

Bug me if you want to play a game.
Disenchant spell can kill some enemies instantly e.g. Ulnas (even the boss one in Catacombs 2).
It can also remove some bad effects from you e.g. life drain from ghosts and vampires.
Animate spell can produce two kinds of zombies depending on how long you charge it up.
Disenchant cannot remove lifedrain, slow and poison from 2.7.4 (or was it 2.7.8?). Disenchant can still dispel all magical effects such as shield, bind, morph, etc. And instant kill animated stuff of course

This is no longer valid (as from 2.7.4 I think).
Dont know if this has been mentioned:
- Using a weapon in each hand will allow you to attack faster (attack with off hand while the other hand is on cool down).
- Truesight allows illiterate characters to read and even use scrolls.
Small creatures like crabs can be crushed between doors instantly and larger corpses like trogs can be used to prevent a door from closing by kicking the corpse untill it's between the doors.
The Bracer of da Bear can be used to gain more HP if less than four points of HP is left and the bracer is re-equiped. A very effective for elves and others with low HP.
