I dunno if a new elf subrace is good, but at least there's one Phesteis Elf in the castle town I'm making, because I didn't want him to be a normal elf as he's supposed to be from another country and because he's kind of evil. (the word "phesteis" doesn't mean anything, but I kind of twisted it from "pest") Here's his skin:

So as you see, he has yellow eyes and his skin is darker than normal elf's. (...and he has an orange jacket ) So... um, anyway, thought I'd post this to ask if it's okay that other countries (whatever they are) have different elves, etc.

Btw, speaking of which, what are the Dimlocks? I mean, they have the elf model and stuff, but they're weird and purple. Are they also elves of a different country, or what?

Oh and also. The town's southwest part is "evil neighborhood"; slavers and slaves (and other stuff like that) live there, and the ground is covered in mud (and their crap).
This is what the slavers look like:

The rightmost one's eyes are probably too similar in color to the blood... But I dunno, red eyes are cool.

Dimlocks are elves who have been living underground for too long. Split away from nature from so long has turned them into an evil race... sort of an anti-elf

Hehehe, evil elves are always awesome. 8)

Anyway, I was thinking... (...now you all gasp in horror) ...and thought that... (...you're getting ready to facepalm...) ...if the people in Lorule (and other countries that are somewhere) have a legend of a wealthy, peaceful, epic, forgotten civilization, the Posluncted Land. You know, kind of like what Mayas and Aztecs were, also kind of the same as Atlantis in a way, and other stuff like that.
You know, people in towns could say stuff like "I've heard the ruins of the Posluncted Land are over ten times the size of the whole Lorule island!" and "Have you seen the famous photographs of the Posluncted Land? Taken by a mysterious group of people who remain anonymous! There's a lot of controversy whether they're real or fake...", etc.

There *COULD* be a sidequest about finding the lost civilization, but of course, that would be kind of hard to make so it would actually be FINDING it... Although it could mostly be something as simple as, say for example the quest would be [POSL] and when you have it, some new npcs would appear in towns and say different stuff, such as clues of it... Or something like that. Dunno where it actually would be, but well.

I really don't know how the Posluncted Land could be made, since the idea I had of what it'd look like would be like:

...Basically just huge ruined cities built on mountains, covered in forests. Like I said, I have no idea how it could be done to Egoboo... Unless almost every tree model etc would be unique, but that'd be horrendous for the person who'd have to do them...

Sounds nice. A lot of exploration... means a lot of quests, especially for archaeologists.
Could the tree models possibly be randomized in some way by applying randomly varying transformation?

I hope so, but I'm quite sure it's impossible. :(

A tree with 4 random skins and a random rotation. We could even randomize their size. This would give us the ability to make a single tree model look pseudo random to 16 other trees (Facing North, East, West, South, 4 different skins and differing size).

We could use 3 or 4 such tree model to make it proper forest like.

I've been thinking of Bargel's family, and I've made a mini-family tree. If it should be any different, say so. I mostly thought that it'd be cool if all of Bargel's brothers (who'd he have four) would be evil mages. And his parents also...
No skins for some of them, so they're just "?"s. OH, and the one has [unknown] as name, because I thought he's some sort of mysterious guy.
Image

I've also thought up a little bit of history for them (which Zefz has to approve/diapprove :P):
The father and mother would've met in a war, and got seven children, of which two died of side effects of necromancy used in the war.
Morax would be some sort of evil wizard who used to be Keldorn's helper in a war (a different one of course, not the same war the parents were in ). The oldest of the brothers, and a semi archmage (dunno how that'd be possible... maybe he failed in the archmage trials, but somehow still gained some powers?)
Farqieh's youngest of them, and he uses a mask because he mimics Bargel and has worked as a decoy before Bargel was captured. You know like, helping him escape while drawing attention to himself or something.
Jorgern would just be something.

I was actually working on a prequel module on how Bargel got captured in the Griffin Tower. I was almost finished, had him scripted and all, but decided to change the plot of the module entirely. Now it's a completely unrelated sidequest that's going to be in the next release (2.8.2)

Cool. 8) So can he have those brothers or will they be aborted?
